I've just about had it up to here with the Sixaxis. It's not enough that they took out the rumble and screwed up the triggers, but the damn thing constantly disconnects on me unless I keep it plugged up to the PS3. Sometimes it does this at the worst times, and since the PS3 doesn't recognize it, I usually end up with a Game Over screen as a result. Sometimes it won't even reconnect unless I restart the PS3. Most recently I was 20 minutes into a game since the last save point, and just as I was about to save, it disconnected. I nearly hurled it at the wall. I've never seen such a thing.

have you tried a different controller? sounds more like it's just something with your stuff. The only problem i've ever seen mentioned on the forums with a controller is one of the sticks getting stuck in one direction on PS2 games. Otherwise, i have not seen anything.

That's either a defective controller or Bluetooth receiver in the PS3. Call Sony about it, it's under warranty.

The worst part is they feel so flimsy that if you throw it it's gonna break for sure

I think this issue with PS2 games is most likely due to accidentally pushing the analog stick while hitting the PS button at the outset. However, I have had this issue occur randomly during R:FOM online for a few seconds at a time... weird. But this has ONLY happened when my battery is low. The controllers work fine as designed, TC, you've just got a bad apple.

I haven't had any disconnection problems. I do, however, miss the rumble. It just doesn't feel right when I block/attack an enemy in Oblivion & feel absolutely nothing at all. I can only imagine how much worse it'll be when I play a FPS.

wait a second, this is not a common accurace! My ps3 looses connection with my controllers (3 in total) quite a bit, well, about 20 times in total (a couple of times it totaly disconnected and turned off my controller in the middle of a game). But since this is not normal, do you think I can use my EB warranty to return my 20gig model to get a 60gig for the same price because of this?

it usually happens to me after i've been playing awhile. it doesn't get stuck permanently or anything. just sticks for about 5 seconds and then it's back to normal. just sucks because if you're playing GOW 2 on Titan it only takes a couple seconds to die.

Depend on where you get it, you may even exchange it at the store that you bought it, granted it is under theirstore warranty.

those second or 2 disconnects should rarely happen now, that should have been fixed, as when the ps3 first came out it happened more often. I am actually starting to like the controller, I picked up a ps2 controller the other day and It felt weird.

My controler dosen't disconnect, so I think thats just a problem with you.

Also, My friend threw my controler agenest a wall (He got mad at dieing in killzone or something) and it still works fine.

I have to agree, the "new" controllerlooks like it was a previous model to the Dual Shock 2. What the hell kind of bullsh1t controller has no rumble?

It's certainly not the 'worst controller ever' by far, but I am the first to admit that omitting the rumble feature is a dire mistake.
