Personally I think there is no doubt that playing the story on a game is better than playing loads of people around the world or with friends. What does everyone else think?

I like playing the story in a game with a friend online.
Not only do you get the experience, but you get to share it with someone, the same way you would a movie.
The single player story (gameplay...)is usually what makes me buy a game or not,.
if besides a good single player the game has a good multiplayer, it will keep me playing that game for a lot more time.
I usually play a game 1 or 2 times and that's it, if ti has a good multiplayer then ill play some more.
Yeah, I really enjoy single player. Almost all of the games I own have a great campaign and that is what I really look for in a game. Offline or Online Co-op is cool too with friends but not with random people.I generally don't like competitive multiplayer except for COD4, and K2 which are done very well.

I think the other way around :P I like a good story but I prefer the spontaneity of online play. Mind you, I could do without the smack talk.
Before there was Multiplayer i was buying games for Single Player Story and i will continue too-Hoax-I use to be that way....this gen of gaming has taken away my single player virginity!!! lol...I feel so dirty because now I'm like the biggest online wh**re.
Single player for story and multiplayer for unlimited fun.HarshGamerThis is really what I should have said at first, I still like single player games like DMC and GOW but shooters are the games that I like to play online.
Single player for me, which is why its so frustrating to see a lot of great games end up being so short.
I didn't start playing online until sometime in 2008. I bought games for a definate single player experiance, and that was the only reason. Now online has been created, I play that too, but I treat it more as a bonus.
Depends. Sometimes I get games for the single player others the online. I hate short campaigns or just dull ones so the developers spend more time on the online. Games like Fallout 3 are awesome single player games while games like killzone 2 have very short and dull campaigns with more focus on the online
i prefer online... but dont get me wrong i do love a good single player story.... but knowing i am wooping real people instead of A.I. is just so great!Personally I think there is no doubt that playing the story on a game is better than playing loads of people around the world or with friends.
