YES!!!!  The ps3 has MASSIVE potential...it's an investment and with any investment...it takes time to grow.But what makes the ps3 different from anything you buy..?? Eventually, everything you buy will go through some type of price reduction. 

I have spent 650 euros for mine with resistance and 2 joypads...i think it was really worth it...3 ROCKS! 

If you think the price is going to drop that much in a year then wait a year.  Keep in mind the 360 has been out in the U.S. for close to 16 months now.  Still no price drop.

I dont have HD TV and I feel its worth it. BTW, there will not be a price drop until at least 2009.Dilrod

I have no clue what a quid is and frankly I don't want to....

anywho. If you consider the console as a game machine and a HD movie player, then absolutely. If only as a game console, I can see why some people choose to wait. I have gotten more use out of the PS3 since I bought it in December than the other two consoles. In the lull between RFOM and VF5, I simply started watching more BluRays, which was just as fun as games, albeit a much short experience. The system is of the highest quality and is definately a good purchase, especially with the sudden in flux of games. RFOM, F1, Motorstorm, VF5, Oblivion and others should certainly keep a gamer busy for quite some time. As for the ports from the 360, most of them are so close you'd never really notice unless you had them side by side.

 I do not regret paying 600 bucks for mine at all, I could have waited for a price drop or more games, but it premium to have it now instead of a year or two, in my case, justifiable.

At this point, I don't think the $800+ I've spent on the PS3 has been worth it. I haven't played any games that, IMO, have justified the price.

Hopefully that will change later this year.
