I LOVED the classics, but I'm just needing some feedback on IV. I'm considering purchasing it, but at the moment I'm on the fence and I'm just wanting to hear the pros and cons of the game. I'm not asking whether I should or should not buy it, I just want some feedback on the game. Thanks in advance.
I like it. It's probably the most challenging Street Fighter I've ever played. The online mode is a nice add on. It lags sometimes, but what online game doesn't nowadays.
great game, but i prefer ufc 09 as far as fighting games go, and maybe fight night round 4
it's my fall back game when I need a change from the norm. it's very difficult, but rewarding at the same time. I'm not very good at it (just being honest), but it's still a lot of fun. the graphics (colors and such) really pop in HD, but the music is just ok at best. the stories for each character are pretty lame, but funny at times. online is very hard because there are ppl out there who are able to contribute a lot of time to mastering their characters moves. if your a fan of SF then buy it, but be warned that at times you may feel that the learning curve is a little rediculous.
I loved SF back in the cabinet days and on the SNES. I'm not as much into SFIV though. The action seems a bit slower and movement is more realistic/deliberate. The hit boxes are strange. The moves feel a bit akward and limited. The online is very spotty leaning more toward the lag than not.
If you like street fighter, you like street fighter. It's simple as that.
Nothing more to say than this, really. If you liked the old games you'll like SFIV. It's the best fighting game i've played in years. I haven't had so much fun since the days of the first three MKs and SF2.

That's true. I rarely get lag, which is amazing considering this is a fighting game.

People praise netcode? I've not had any issues with lag on any games I've played on either PS3 or 360 except for Capcom titles sans RE5.
i don't care what anyone says... i like streetfighter, but streetfighter 4 roster is very unbalanced... and when i play i feel so awkard... it just wasn't for me i guess.
Ok i'm not bad at it but I think the diff. is amped up ALOT for like normal mode even. I only rented it and barely beat the game on normal ONCE. I trie online, lag was not bad but I got spammed alot with moves so unless you know counters, reversals and whatnot I would suggest trying out something a lil more slowed down. UFC for instance is AMAZING!!! However they are Completely different games. Honestly IMO I would say wait and get the new Tekken when it comes out.

I love SFIV... my self assessment of performance is: good experience in StreetFighter - LEVEL 3 * * * I like fight whit RYU, GOUKEN, SAGAT, ZANGIEF and GUILE... well... ...I like everyone here, obviously has already faced all the characters of the game on line fights... but yesterday I fought against a guy who left me angry ... he fought only with BLANKA... anyone here already fight versus whith the PSN ID: querosene (PSN from BRAZIL)? he fights only with the BLANKA... this guy is very good! I lost 10 consecutive fights ... I don't belive... this guy is very good on SFIV
