I'm waiting eagerly for the hot games including KZ2 by the first quarter of 2008, which will be the year everyone will rush to buy a PS3.
Who's glad that he bought a PS3? and who's planing to get one?

I take anything a magazine says with a pinch of salt. I mean the magazine I used to subscribe to (Official Playstation2 Magazine UK) gave Killzone one a 10/10 i think. It was at least 9/10, but pretty sure it was 10.
Needless to say, after I bought the game, I didn't renew my subscription. I hope KZ2 is good though
correct me if im wrong but wasnt the first one dubbed "Halo Killer" ?
LAFF robot nai FTW!

If by Halo Killer they meant dodgy frame rate, bland textures, slow moving gameplay and guns with horrible accuracy, they were pretty much spot on.
it was UK's OPM (or some other PS magazine in the UK) that called the original KZ the killer FPS game on any console.
i'll pass on this magazine's praise.

Killzone was overhyped because it LOOKED a little like Halo and everyone started hyping it as-such.
Killzone was a good shooter - I beta tested it on the PS2 and the developers really listened to us and it was a good game.
Unfortunately, the PS2 was a very limited console. The game did not have a Harddrive to fall back on, it didn't maximze it's online capabilities and their was no decent story or characters to follow. It was a 1-dimensional game.
In fact, Killzone: Liberation on the PSP was 100 times better then the FPS shooter on the PS2. Why? Becuase it wasn't trying to be a Halo killer - it was designed to be it's own game and it was fun and worked great, even with a top-down perspective.
I hope the developers are focusing on Killzone 2 as it's own, original game this time around. I always though Killzone would have been better from a "Farcry" perspective - like taking your time to search and explore. Killzone 1 felt like some sort of non-stop immigration raid.
I have high hopes for KZ2 - but I'm not hyping up anything until I see it in action and at a great framerate with a solid story to boot.
