Personally I'd rather have 4 more hour of campain then mulitplayer. What say you?

so what's the premise for GOW4? Is Kratos taking on the Norwegian Gods? pearlboy601
I'm not even going to lie, that would simply be amazing. IDK anything about the new game, and didn't play the 3rd, but if they did that it would simply be awesome since Norse Gods are pretty cool.
How would that work, and to the co-op thing someone said before, you really think Kratos would work with anyone else. Maybe they will add some sort of horde mode, and the will add online leader boards or something, but I can't see another type of multi-player in God of War.
Your title fails. OPM didn't Say God of War 4 was going to have tacked on multiplayer. They said it was going to have multiplayer.http://www.psu.com/OPM-UK-says-God-of-War-4-will-feature-multiplayer--a011593-p0.php

I also remember reading that the studio was looking for people with experience in the Shooter genre. So...I'm almost positive GoW won't be seeing a multiplayer as much as Santa Monica Studios is looking to make a multiplayer based shooter. But that's just me.
Pointless. BioShock didn't need, Uncharted didn't need, and GoW doesn't need it.

Well uncharted still gave a better single player than the 1st in IMO. I actually quite enjoyed the MP, but there was still a solid SP. can't say anything concerning bioshock since i've only played the 1st, but it seems odd since that games more about story and the world. I do agree GoW doesn't need it, especially since the style doesn't suit itself for it.
Sounds like you just rushed through the game and didn't touch any of the side missions.I personally hated the fact that with Assassin's Creed at least, ACII was a solid 11-13 hour Story and Brotherhood had about a 7-8 hour story and lame MP. At least I thought it wasn't so great.

which is when GOW becomes COD and i stop playing it.da_chublol what? Is it really that hard for people to imagine the developers hiring more people just to do the MP part? So that we get the same good SP + an additional MP part.
I think multiplayer would work against the game. God of War has consistently been a single-player focused title, and to put a multilayer aspect into the series I think would detract from that.LeftHand-PathJust.. avoid the MP then?

Yes it is hard to believe and if they were going to hire extra staff and spend extra money I'd rather they did it to expand the single player campaign than to add an unneccessary MP element.
Problem is, devs are trying to include multiplayer in their games just because users scream for it. MP shouldn't be an obligation nowadays for a game to be "worth" the price; even when a game has an epic SP and no MP, users and reviewers bash on it. Sad.
I still don't see a reason for a God of War sequel, i think part three ended things satisfactory. But I wonder who will he go after now Norse Gods, Egyptian Gods, Christ himself??? It doesnt make sense to me.
Also inclusion of multiplayer will only hurt the core single-player experience(In most cases it does nowadays) I for one don't care for MP in games unless it is meant for MP (Battlefield, MAG, Halo, ETC.) especially with the tacked on job they're gonna do with this one.
I think the only way they could make GOW anymore boring and repetetive would be to add a multiplayer aspect to the monotonous button mashing. I am confused that they think its a good idea to highlight the games lack of depth. Over a 12 hour campaign its easy enough to ignore, add hours of multi to that and people may well notice that the game is actually awefull.I still don't see a reason for a God of War sequel, i think part three ended things satisfactory.
Well, multiplayer did work well with Uncharted. Theres only one way to find out how it'll work with GoW4. 23Jarek23
Maybe saying it worked well with assassins creed would be better...Uncharted has shooter elements so, I don't see why it wouldn't work.
It worked well with Assassin's Creed? You really think so? I thought it was more like a bad episode of tom and jerry.
Sounds like you just rushed through the game and didn't touch any of the side missions. Regardless of Side Missions, ACII STILL had more content than ACB both of them have about an equal amount of side missions, ACB just has more collectibles.I personally hated the fact that with Assassin's Creed at least, ACII was a solid 11-13 hour Story and Brotherhood had about a 7-8 hour story and lame MP. Multiplayer implementation is becoming a joke. There are so many games that are better off without it, and God of War 4 would certainly be one of them.

I can't tell you how much I want this to be true. I really wanted to have GOWIII end with Norse mythology out of nowhere as per Jaffe's original vision.
It will probably be a bit sloppy storywise to introduce Norse mythology at the beginning but whatever. I'd still prefer the game being about Kratos rather than his brother but the problem is who's left for Kratos to fight in Greek mythology?? I think if they introduce Norse stuff a good way to make it begin is to make some Norse God talk to Kratos as he's
falling over the cliff at the end of GOWIII.
