So here is the deal.

I mistakenly believed that my PC monitor had an HDMI connection (which it does not) so now I must stick with a DVI connection and a second connection to handle sound.

For the moment, I only have stereo built into the monitor and a small soundbar for sound for my computer (I refuse to buy a new sound system just to accomidate the new PS3....atleast at the moment). The only inputs that my sound solutions have are of a Stereo Jack variety (1/8"0.

So what I need to know is: what kind of set-up can I create to convert Optical Digital Output to a standard stereo jack input.

Thanks in advance for all suggestions.

I have work in bb home theater for 2 years... never seen anything that does that. if you have a small room just buy the logitech 2.1 system. it is 50 bucks.

You worked in BB for two years and you have no suggestions for this man? Odin, you can simply get a rca-to-headphone cable to take your white/red rca's from your PS3 to go to your lin-in or mic input on your PC. Very inexpensive but only stereo sound, no surround. I am currently looking for a like fix but with all digital. I would like to run my optical to my digital input on my PC. If anyone knows of any cables to do so, let me know.
