Overhyped and Underhyped PS3 Games

What PS3 games do you think are way overhyped? What PS3 games do you think receive nearly not enough attention?

IMO, COD4 is overhyped. The graphics are amazing but honestly it seems like it plays just like COD2. On the other hand Mercenaries 2: World in Flames is a game I feel will get lost in the rush of holiday 2007. Amazing graphics, fully destructible enviroments and the ability to approach objectives truly anyway you want make it a standout for this year. M2:WiF is way underhyped.

Overhyped: KZ2 I think it'll be awsome but we don't know much about it but im not going to lie I hype it a hella lot too

Underhyped: Uncharted, this is a Naughty Dog game one of the best devs to give us some great PS titles

Ratchet & Clank: Same thing Insomniac one of the best devs to give us some great PS titles and this one has been proven

UT3: Our GeoW for this year and no1 is hyping it. Maybe because it's an FPS or maybe they don't like shooters but come on this game will be sick. Great MP, they're working on SP with co-op, KB/M support & MODS!!!!!!!!!!!!

HAZE: A new twist to a shooter looks great and it's exclusive on our console for now I don't see anyone hyping this.

EDIT: you guys complain about Ubisoft not working well on the PS3 now that they have a company dedicated to working on the PS3 version no-one hypes or is excited about anything. This game also features 4 player co-op.

This is my opinion. I know lots of you are looking forward to Warhawk and Lair, but, to me, I don't like those kind of games and I'd rather not see so many topics on them.

overhyped : shooters in general (don't really know why though there is just so many to kill someone after my 1 millionth kill on the old unreal tournament i got bored out O_o)

underhyped : all those really great ps2 that are still coming. I'm freaking happy that they didnt discontinue there older console 2 months after their next gen stuff came up like nintendo and microsoft. It makes the PS3's backwardscompability that much better. Hell i'm getting more ps2 games this month then then i bought games the whole last year.

OverHyped- These type of questions everyday on this forum

Underhyped- People just actually enjoying their PS3 and stop Complaing about Something Everyday.

Since the first time I saw it, I thought the whole concept of the game seemed "meh".. I think the only reason people even hype it is because it's an PS3 exclusive. If Lair bombs (which it very well might) you'll have given the xbots lots of fuel to keep flaming with by talking about lair as "the saviour of PS3" or whatever..

I can't remember the last time a game made me so excited before it was released, if ever. How can it be rated 69? I can't even think of 68 other PS3-games.. Guess it's because of the FPSgeneration, it's not a great game unless you can kill people with futuristic weapons in shiny suits..

I know, man. Every tme I go to that page, I think to myself "Why are these people on these 68 other PS3 games instead of the award-winning LittleBigPlanet!?"

I anticipate that as the release gets closer, there will be more activity in the boards.

all look liek great games but these are just my thoughts.

I think Ninja Gaiden Sigma is under hyped and over hyped is UT3.

Overhyped=Games that you all will find any little reason not to like or don't favor especially if you have no interest in the genre. You will play these games when they become available and say they suck when more than likely theycould bethe most polished and well designed games.

Underhyped=Games not in the overhyped category, unless if there's a buzz about the game, you will then look for reasons to not like this game either.

Talking about an overhyped game makes it more popular than it needs to be. Whether positve or negative, you took notice.

Overhyped: Killzone 2. reason? play Killzone 1.

Underhyped: Haze. reason? Golden Eye007 (members from Rare moved to Free Radical) --> Perfect Dark (members from Rare moved to Free Radical) --> Timesplitters Series.

how Killzone 2 is getting more hype that Haze is a bit confusing to me.

i think CoD4 is underhyped by the PS3 crowd. PC/360 owners are all really anticipating the game because of how great CoD2 was. the first real CoD game on the PS console was CoD3, which was good, but not great.

as for PS3 fanboys duking it out with other fanboys in SW about CoD4... well, lets just say fanboys use all they got to win those useless arguments.
