which would you buy if you had access to both? my country follows PAL system, but i can buy a NTSC PS3 here.

am concerd about:

PSN USA Vs. PSN EU, which is better,

I belive PS3 is region free, so i can use any game on it, PAL or NTSC. correct me if am wrong.

and is Blue-ray region free as well?

the NTSC 60GB is 560$, while the PAL 60GB + free Resistance:FoM 586$

thanks for your help guys

ps3 games are region free, but the system itself is not. So blu-ray/dvds/ps1/ps2games will only play on whatever region it is encoded in. And for the PSN just create different accounts for different countries and you'll have access to those PSNs... I say get the pal version if you plan on using the ps3 to watch blu-ray movies/dvds/and ps1 and ps2 games...

I c, what about PS2 games, will my NTSC PS2 games work on PAL PS3? I assume not.

Also, could you elaborate on "just create different accounts for different countries and you'll have access to those PSNs"
I stopped playing Vidoegames for 3 years, just coming back and i feel a total noob, dont know anything this Gen.

PS2 games and PSX games still retain their region restrictions.

When you first start up your PS3, you need to create an account on the PS3. From that account you can then create your PSN ID. Make your first account, then go and make a 2nd account, name it something generic like USA or JPN or Account 2 or something that you will instantly recognise as a "dummy" account. On that "Dummy" account make a USA or JPN PSN ID and keep your main one as AU (or you can make your main a USA PSN ID like myself, and my dummy accounts are AU and JPN ID's.)

Hope that clears things up for you.

not sure if its still the case, but the ntsc ps3 use to have full ps2 backwards combatilbilty. the pal ps3's didnt they used a similar meathod to xbox360......one of the most retarded systems ever concieved. also with the money you would save buying a ntsc ps3, you could mod it in some way (perfectly legal) to play your pal dvds.
