Patch 4.00

I know that there are probably many topics on the new update 4.00 that was released this week but I haven't updated my PS3 system yet as I was seeing off the playstation.com forums that there were issues like the disc not reading right , controllers are not syncing with the system and a few othersso has anyone here have the update and have not had any issues or are the people on those sites trying to get us worried.

I'm kinda worried with these issues being reported so I'm trying to decide if I should just download the patch or wait a few days to see if there is going to a fix to it or not.

I downloaded it the other day, and my PS3 still reads discs and plays games fine.

I installed it and straight after it corrupted my harddrive lost all my save data

I always find it funny when Sony releases a new patch someone complains that their PS3 is broken.

Ps3 broke? sth similar happened to me too. I updated my system and then I found out sth amaizing about me. My ps3 shook for a while then *boom* it exploded and took over anything thats under 15 mile radius of the impact. Thants when I found out that im immortal.

I downloaded the patch 4.00 a little while ago and I'm not having any issues with it so I guess I got lucky.

Updated about an hour ago here in the UK. PS3 seems to be working fine dont know what the issues people are coming from?:?

Ever since I updated to 4.00 my PS3 no longer makes toast the way I like it - it just doesn't get it golden brown like it used to. But otherwise, it's fine.

I was really wanting it to fix the skyrim issues, since Bethesda hasn't. Sadly it didn't.

My PS3 is working fine. It was very smooth like usual.

I haven't actually updated yet (been playing on the pc all week) but this wouldn't be the first time Sony got rid of a major feature with an otherwise worthless update.
