Patient Ps3 owner..starting to lose patience..

I've had this sytem since it was first released. I got it strictly because I had 2 psp's and wanted to hook them up together to play around with, you know, remote play, ps1 games etc..

Anyways, I've been really holding out hopes that Sony will release something truely epic for this system.. basically a game that is so good that you want to purchase the system to play it.

For the Gamecube, Metroid Prime was that game.. that game is so amazingin depth, in story line and graphics, it's just an amazing game, so is MP2: Echos i found myself sitting infront of my tv playing those 2 games for hours and hours.

I keep seeing all these cool games come out for the system and I keep hoping that I'm going to come across a game that has that type of depth and graphics.. I keep spending dollars after dollars, $59+tax a pop for these games that none seem to deliver. Most are so short and shallow that they aren't really worthy of their predecisors..*cough* Unreal Tournament 3.

Graphics look good, but the graphic quality is not up to par with what the Ps3's capable of. Plus the game seems so shallow, after a round or 2 of either campaign or multiplayer ive become bored with it.. it's the same thing from all the previous installments, just updated graphics..

I am seeing more and more Ps3 games seem so shallow in content that I am asking myself why am I buying this game.

I dont have the unknown games either, I have Rainbow Six: Vegas which looks like crap, the graphics on the outside of the box is no where near what I am seeing. The Psp version looks better, more clear and crisp.

Ridge Racer 7, seems like your cars slide on a predetermined track when you drift.. pretty retarded

Motorstorm, shallow.. all you do is race and race and race.. and it seems the higher you go, it gets exponentially more difficult to the point where I'm getting pissed off and leaving the game.

Heavenly Sword, AMAZING GAME.. again, too short and shallow, littlereplayability

The Darkness, another fun game, graphics are bleh.. does the ps3 even antialias?

Madden 07, fun game, good graphics, very laggy online.

Resistance: Fall of man, good graphics, good gameplay, this definately was a game worth purchasing a system over, cept no coop =(

Just because you aren't terribly fond of the games doesn't mean there isn't any high quality games out right now, it means you haven't found one that does it for you. Sony offers a diverse library of quality games right now, ones that offer great single player, ones that offer great multiplayer, and ones that offer a mixture of both.

Me? I'm extremely satisfied, and considering the true onslaught of games hasn't even hit yet, I can only imagine how great things will be.

I didn't see Uncharted Drakes Fortune on your list. That is THE game my friend. 10-12 hours of the best freaking gameplay/immersive movie I've ever seen. Don't sleep on Drake. 8)

I used to be an xbox fanboy until I saw Drake. I believe in PS3 that is why I purchased one recently and Drake will be my first game it is beautiful. Plus, MGS will be out sometime soon worst time to get rid of your PS3.

Im waiting for Haze, Killzone 2, and GT5 to come out, those games look unbelievably good!:D

No good games on the PS3 huh? SO i guess there are no games on the 360 as well. Wait, lets go a step further. There are no good games on the Wii either. It doesn't matter what system you have or if you have them all(like myself). There are good games on each system and enough games out on all systems (with the question oy my wii) to make each one worth your while. If you can't find a game then I feel for you. Either that or you didn't even give the system a shot. The bottle line is thats your issue not mine.

1) Go directly to System Wars. Do not pass Go. Do not collect $200.

2) If you like it so much, who's holding the gun to your head making you stick with the PS3. Sell it, get a new one, and make sure you pre-order the coffin.

First of all, Madden is not that laggy. It all depends on yours and your opponents internet connection.

Second, RESISTANCE DOES HAVE CO-OP (but not online Co-op)

And as many others said, you forgot Drake's Fortune. I havent gotten it yet but the demo is absolutely amazing, definately a must buy. Its number 1 on my christmas list.

Warhawk, one of the greatest online multiplayer games the PS3 has. I would seriously rate this game above Halo, its a so much better experience.

Explore your options more, there is so much that you are missing out on.

Ok First off i must say this...I don't even own a PS3 and i think the thing is bad ass, well my Roomate has one and i plan on getting one once i get the money.

but you talk of an Epic game that makes you wanna buy the system for it...and yet you named ONE! example, and let alone a Gamecube game, personally i liked Gamecube for the Resident Evil Remakes (RE Fan) but you left EVERY OTHER system out, personally i think your problem isn't the game, its the system, you haven't found your Epic system with your epic game.
