How do you pay your fine or go to jail or whatever. I'm being chased by the imperial guards and they always try to kill me. I can't leave the city because I have the mage's guild key for a quest and i'll get suspended, and I can't fight back because i'll lose the crusader's helmet and have to go pray at all the shrines again to continue the quest. I just want to serve my time or whatever, but the guards just come after me. What can i do?
hmm...that's odd. They usually just try and arrest you first and then you decide to fight or go to jail. Have you tried various towns? Maybe they're just fed up with you at the particular town you're in? lol. That's really strange behaviour.

Hold the block button, I believe it's L1? Then talk to them, this is how you yield. This works well also if you accidentaly hit a friend during a fight, it'll stop them from attacking you.
You will have to submit by blocking and trying to talk to them. Most of the time its automatic unless you resisted arrest and ran or managed to break out of jail. The latter will cause them to try and kill you no matter what.
could i also suggest that you save often, and also dont save on the one file, make multiple saves during missions and while traveling between towns. it means that if weirdness like this happens again you can just reload to a previous time when everything was okay.
although in this case you have to block and then press x to yeild. that's give you the option of paying gold/serving time.
I just made a charm magnitude 100 for 5 seconds spell and anytime im in trouble I zap em with that and submit, generally the guards offer to take care of any of my fines I have racked up. Works pretty slick. I needed to get away from the guards after making the queen naked at the dinner party in the sanguine quest... worked like a charm... no pun intended.
Usually I would just kill all that guards but the I think the fines are about 1000 dollars per guard you kill, unless you're apart of the theives guild you can just pay half of it.

block and hold x let them attk u, meens u surrender, then say go to jail, (btw u probably resisted the arrest, be more patient next time a guard stops u)
ok while we ar at this, can anyone help me?? i`m on this quest where the buma countess asks u to get back and ancient artifact but she only gives you a hand drawn map and a text in which a guy written somelandmarks he saw on his trail and u have to find where he started at, anyone?
also, is it worth it to finish the thieves, mages and dark brotherhood guild quests??

dunno if its WORTH it, m abe something cool happens when you finish one. but i'm gonna go for it. have to be honest, i'm finding the dark brotherhood the most enjoyable....
