when i play online all i get is 15 minute matches without any audio except for players swearing and abusing over the mic does anyone else get this? or is it just me?

Yup. Mute the idiots, and confer with teamates to help get the win. Everyone complains about (for example) COD4 and how its not a team game, yeah right:roll:, if you have a semi decent strategy and implement it, the game is as good as won. Whenever a teammate has a good idea and the team listens and COOPERATES the results are blatantly apparent. When you communicate and effectively work as a TEAM, the results can be epic. Like I previously said in a post in this topic I played a game of domination where my opponents worked as a team and they USED ONLY PISTOLS, but through superior planning they obliterated us. Teamwork , by communicating and listening is a very valuable tool if you want to be competitive.

yeah they definately do... all I hear is swearing ..

I was playing these americans kids on COD4 the other day .. sounded about 20 or so ..

calling everyone a jew or a **** etc..

I enjoyed the game because I could hear them get angry as I shot them ... was real motivation to be honest ..

Theres a mute button you know.

I used to have this problem in online games but not anymore.

I really only had these problems with halo 2 and 3. Such as people singing, little kids talking, rap music, and/or swearing. Although the singing was funny. But then i stopped playing them cause they suck.

And MGO beta was suprisingly quiet. The only people talking on it were me and my friend but we arent annoying like everyone else. Although we do talk about personal issues online lol.

Just because they are younger doesn't mean they are the ones who don't shut up and have bad language. I'm younger than that and I don't have that problem.

Generally the kids (if you can tell by their voice not being deep yet) are the ones who have no idea what they are doing, or keep trying to follow you and make really attacking plans. The ones with super bad language issues are either really bad and get frustrated to easily and shouldn't be playing in the first place, or the really good people who i guess have every right to saywhat they want when they get the 30 kill streak or whatever (congrats to them)

I agree that people could do with watching their mouth or just not talking to much in general, but technically they have "the right of speech" and they will definitely argue that they do. So I guess the best option is mute them or plug in your own mic and ask them politely to stop, or switch the group of people you're running around with. (even if it takes a little extra time)
