I traded my old PSP in for a PSP Slim (the Star Wars one). This is a really minor issue but if anyone else is planning to do the same, remember to take the wrist strap off of your old one before you do because the new one (at least the Star Wars one) doesn't include a wrist strap. I don't know about the Daxter or the Core pack. That wasa minordisappointment for mebut other than that, it's awesome.

and that in itself is where the problem lies.....the special edition packs don't come with one at all which is the point the OP was trying to make. it IS a bit disappointing that a wrist strap isn't included. i'm just glad i still have my tekken DR wrist strap i got when i bought the game.

Why does it matter? I don't use the wrist strap to begin with.

Because some people use theirs and expect it to be included in the new psp slim boxes.

A silly ommision would have thought it would be included.

the wriststrap has saved my psp from falling all of once, maybe twice, in 2 years.

I too use the tekken wriststrap now, but a wriststrap isn't all that necessary.

When i get my PSP, a wriststrap is a must. Thanks for the heads up I'll have to add that to my protfolio, I'm trying to convince my parents I deserve a PSP.

On a personal note, Iplay my PSP while I'm in the bathroom sometimes. And in a situation like that, wearing the wrist strap is definitely a good precaution. I just read a post on another thread about someone who dropped their PSP in the toilet. LOL, I bet he/she wished they were wearing their wrist strap at the time.

---There was something really funny about the guy asking 'well why wouldn't it contain a wriststrap?' ---I mean, as if there was going to be some kind of answer to this!

i use the wrist strap for alot of devices especially the camera and the psp. all it takes is someone to bump you and you can drop your psp.

I don't use the wrist strap. I do however keep my (fat) psp in the logitech playgear pocket. I only take it out to play if I'm in the house.

I love that case, makes me feel like my psp is tanked out. :)

How would you go about trading in your old one? Do you have to have your old box or something?

The Daxter pack doesn't come with a wrist strap, either.

I'm using the original white wrist strap that came with my original PSP.

My original PSP has a black wrist strap that came with it's metal/hard plastic case.

Yeah, not one in the Daxter pack, and I totally spaced on taking my wrist strap off, and have yet to find a stand alone one anywhere.

You don't need the box or any booklets or anything that came with the original packaging. Just take your PSP that you want to trade into a Gamestop or EB games. It was worth $60 as a trade in when I did it but I also traded some other stuff as well and paid the difference in cash.

yeah they have been including the wrist strap for some time now .... not since the value pack. I use the tekken strap and it does come in handy to have one.

The difference was $80. I'dtrade it in as early as possible beforethe trade-in value drops.
