Kevin Butler from Sony's Ad Campaigns(Admin) Alright, I've seen a lot of KB comments on the SCEE blog's ad post. There were a couple against it, but the overwhelming majority was for it. Now, since I am, in no way, affiliated with Sony, or Deutch, I can't tell you what's going on or if it will ever happen, but I have done a bit of 'market research' of my own, thanks tofacebook's insights.
Before I get into that, though, Adam Dean posted this petition. Not sure where it's going to go, and it would, ultimately, be up to SCEE, but it's, at least, there to show support. That's what this post links to.
Now, for your personal enjoyment, I made a compilation image of some of the insights FB has provided me with, so you can see the worldly fan base of this page. Top countries/cities/languages only show the top 19. Anyway, here's the image:

Now, looking at that, it's very clear that we do have a decent hold on places outside of the US/NA territories. The big boom in June shows a jump across all regions, even more so than the one in March. Given that, these ads have not appeared outside of our territories and have only been seen online, or through a US PSN account.
Despite all that, other territories show the same boom in activity, albeit, in smaller quantities (even a surprising number of non-English profiles). Regardless, I do agree that these ads would appeal to people on a worldly basis (well, at least SCEE and SCEA territories), as seen by the number of comments I received and the overall proof in the insights. I'm sure if they did air over there, the numbers would be far closer. I think it's just a matter of time and convincing.
