Opening statement :

"2005. The year of the next-gen console, with the launch of the Xbox 360 in Europe at the beginning of December. Sharp, high-definition images, smooth frame rates, and great on-line play in a reasonably priced package. End of story. "

and then goes on to state that he does not care for the Blu-ray player in the Playstation 3 because he doesn't even own a HDTV ? then why try and make a point for HD Images in his opening line ?

also, the comments on UK people paying more for the privilege, nearly £70 of the extra price we are paying over Japan & the USA is due to Tax by our Government, it has nothing to do with Sony & it's a problem that effects all Console manufactures, so it's really annoying when it's used as a point against those companies

The only real things i have seen Sony do that will annoy European & AUS gamers is the Delay of the launch & this BC issue, (the latter could provide to be a plus point though due to upscaling of older PSone & PStwo games)

just like Microsoft saying, "1080p is useless for games. There will never be a game in 1080p". then 6 months later..."We now support 1080p".

I just laugh at these people because in 2 years these guys will see that Sony made a good decision in making the PS3 equipped with blu-ray and 1080p.

true, no great 1080p games, but atleast they're not like Ms saying htey don't need things and then go back on their word and claim they are starting to use the ideas of others, yes Sony borrowed ideas from other systems and what not but PS3 will be known as the one to make 1080p games and have HDMI and optical cable, all firsts for a videogame system what has MS brought to the table?

I believe it's 3 not counting the PSN titles. it's 3 more than the 360 and 3 more than Microsoft believed. And considering that those 3 were at launch....that was a nice feat.
