even if it is or not wut really getting at me is i think ubisoft is gong to more a lot more focus on the 360 verision than the ps3 cause every time u see someone playing it always on the 360 ghettokid15
.
Where have you been? Ubisoft has the honor of making the most underperforming PS3 ports of 360 games. Theyhave already shown they don't care for the PS3. There is no doubt in my mind that they will screw up the PS3 version.
for me the worst thing is that my bro has 360 and i was origianlly was going to get it for my360but i dont want to play on system that might break down if i play to long cause i know i will n if i break down my bros 360 he would be so pissed at me to lol
[QUOTE="The_Rick_14"]The demo version is the 360 version because thats the easier platform to develop so they feel more confident showing that version. The devs have said they'll be equal so quit whining.Jared2720
I think this is absurd. You're naive if you don't think Microsoft has been "influencing" developers to show preferential treatment to the 360 version of multi-platform games. That's all it is.
Yea Microsoft really "influenced" Ubisoft to keep HAZE multiplat, didn't they? MS also "influenced" Tiger Woods to crash 360s but not PS3s.
Give me a break with all this conspiracy BS. I bet you've never programmed a day in your life have you? It's a completely different platform (Cell) which requires a completely different strategy when coding.

I believe that honor belongs to EA Games.I don't get why one or two developers are being singled out here. Yes Madden for PS3 didn't run at 60fps, but neither did 2k8 therein proving my point from above, its not the developers, its the fact that its a new platform and there's a learning curve.The_Rick_14
Believe what you will. As I said, I think you're being naive. Questioning my knowledge/credibility on such matters will do little to make the evidence go away. "Conspiracy BS"? Hardly. It's obvious that you're not very familiar with Microsoft's business practices over the last two decades. This is what they do...

Be it BS or not. Why do people put all the blame to MS? I mean if there was money changing hands to sabotage the PS3 version or prioritize the 360 version (which I doubt is true), Ubisoft IMO is worst than MS for excepting the money. It's their product, they call the shots.
But development priorities will definitely happen. 360 getting more attention just because its the one with the most user base. Its the wisest business choice. PS2 was prioritize almost for every multiplatform game last gen for the same reason.

I guess last generation you were upset that developers favored the PS2 and the Xbox got poor ports?[QUOTE="Jared2720"][QUOTE="The_Rick_14"]The demo version is the 360 version because thats the easier platform to develop so they feel more confident showing that version. I guess last generation you were upset that developers favored the PS2 and the Xbox got poor ports? Why? I never owned an Xbox. I owned a PS2 and I now own a PS3. I am not, however, a fanboy.
I'm not criticizing Microsoft or Ubisoft. Microsoft is doing whatever it can to ensure that the Xbox 360 will continue to be successful. You can question their business ethics if you'd like (and I do), but that's a different discussion entirely. My point is this: that developers always choose to demonstrate the 360 version of games is not evidence that that PS3 is giving them any more difficulty than the 360. It's more likely that Microsoft is encouraging them--financially--to show preferential treatment to their console. It's a shrewd business move. If you have the money to to do it, why wouldn't you?

I'm quite aware of Microsoft's business strategy (generally if you can't top it, buy it out), but going by your theory it would mean Microsoft is even paying 1st party developers since 1st party games are having the same struggles.
When something is wrong, everyone looks for an excuse instead of an answer. If you've done any kind of programming on the register level then you know how significant a platform or hardware change is.
Oh and no one questioned your knowledge/credibility so don't get all defensive.
