I don't have a HDTV so I don't know all that much.

My understanding was that plasma tends to have slightly better quality (contrast, more vibrant colours), but it does burn in a lot quicker and an LCD will last a lot longer. Plus nowadays, LCD screens are so close to plasma in terms of picture quality, the difference isn't much.

get an HD projector instead, lol, who else can say they've played their PS3 on a 50 foot screen? :P

LCD is definetly better than Plasma if you're getting under 50inch though.

they say that for gaming lcd is the best however for overall performance plasma is still the superior one. and burn ins are usually exagerated lower down your contrast for about 50% for the fist 100 hrs of viewing on your plasma then after that 100hrs your plasma tv is good to go and you will need not to worry about burn in

my friend bought his plasma, he lowered the contrast down to 60% or so and just left a DVD playing for 4 days straight, it was the quickest way to get around burn in, and he hasn't had a problem since.

not the new ones. Plasma looks better, but you have to have a good one.

My two cents: NOTHING BETTER THAN A HD PROJECTOR!!!
