Played PS3 For The First Time Today And...

i remember the first time i played on a ps3 about a week ago and i wasnt really that impressed. i thought the graphics were ok but no that much of and imrovement on the 360 certainly not a $200 improvement

but before you call me a fanboy if the ps3 had came out 1st at the 360's price i probably would have bought a ps3 and would have been disapointed in the 360

The only drawback that is keeping me from buying one is the 700 dollar price tag in this country, the lack of games is not a huge deal since I dont spend all my time playing video games, besides I have my DS if I am out and about or if I just want to play a quick race online.DSgamer64

I cant help but agree,

BUT I do believe the the PS3 is THE must have console for every gamer by lets say 2008-2009, I reckon at the stage the true inner PS3 beast will be set free. Thats if they can handle thepricetag.

Well yes PS3's are nice but my vote still goes to the Xbox 360, it is worth buying just based on the live and i don't mind the single player. It is just as good or better than the PS3 but will set you back less.

I can't predict the future, but so far 360 is the best thing that happened to us video-gamers, since... PS2.

For me, a new console needs more to it than increment a number, like, you know... games!

Also, the ps3 is still getting a vast majority of the games that made the ps2 so great as exclusives, so you can't say it's lacking in that department. 

It's still getting the usual exclusives like God of War 3, Ratchet & Clank 5, Metal Gear Solid 4, Jak & Daxter: The Lost Frontier, Final Fantasy XIII, Gran Turismo HD and Gran Turismo 5, Socom: Confrontation, Tekken 6, Team Ico games, etc. 

Plus, it's getting loads of new IPs like Heavenly Sword, Lair, LitleBigPLanet (my no.1 hyped game right now), Wardevil, Warhawk, Uncharted, White Knight Story, Folksoul, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, etc.

I feel sorry for those who got a 360 because it came out first/was cheaper because now they can't experience some of the best franchises in gaming history after Mario and Zelda.

They would NEVER confirm a price drop in advance, it would totally kill the sales until the price drop.

And you're right, better graphics ARE coming. MGS4 and FFXIII will make Motorstorm look last gen! :P 

first time i played i was blown away also. but only to Resistance. i'm sure it'll jump down around Christmas time

So i should buy an 360 because its cheaper, not because of games? I'm not getting one (atm) because most of the games on that console are or will be available on the PC.

The X360 took a while to get those so called 'games', and so did the PS2. I bought a PS2 at launch after playing Armored Core 2 for a few weeks, I played my PS1 games for months until the great games came out.  

X360 has nothing interesting before Oblivion, then the next great one was Gear which was months away. For those who don't have a X360 or good PC, Oblivion came for PS3 at about the same time as it did for X360 the year before, but RFOM kept most PS3 owners busy. Motorstorm is also very worth it.

X360 will be getting Halo 3, but PS3 will be getting MGS4, FFXIII, FFXVIII, Ninga Gaiden Sigma, Warhawk, Heavenly Sword, Uncharted Drake's Fortune, Ratchek and Clank, White Knight Story... There's also all the non-exclusive such as DMC4, GTAIV or Assassin's Creed.
