playing movies

All right: lets say I have a movie (DIVX) on my pc. Is there any way of using mywlan to stream the movie trough the ps3 to my tv or copy it to the ps3's hd and play it from there? I heard software is available for this for download, does anyone know more about this?

Just put the files you want to stream in your windows media library and stream it from there via the search function found on top of the video tab on your xmb. You can either stream it or copy it to the ps3 hard drive (you can do this with photos and music too).

Not all video formats are supported by the ps3, though. You can download tools to convert them to formats that the ps3 can handle.

Use tversity. Your ps3 can play anything your pc can play with tversity
