playing online with a used game

Can i play online with a used game, i made a list of some games i want to buy when i buy the PS3.

The problem is i dont have enough money to buy them "NEW", so i will buy them used( all from amazon).

I just wanted to know if i could play online a used game, or does it have like protection like some PC games?

cool, i asked this becuse once i was in a street fair, near my home, and they sell all kinds of stuff, even video games, i buy the majority of my games there.

I took my borther that has a PS3 and he wanted to know how much as PES 2008, and the guy sayed tath it was used but was unblocked so tath he could play online game.
