[QUOTE="kenshingumi2007"]I have a 40 gig PS3 will I be able to run PS2 games?willyc09
No you wont be able to play PS2 on your PS3...you need the 60 GB or 80GB to play PS2 games...although you can play PS1 games.
This is why I'm glad I purchased my 60 GB back in March. Every game I own on PS2 and PS1 works perfectly on it.

ya i got the 60GB to thankfully... its the best option in my opinion.
Why do they need to release PS3 with different GB?Guyper
It's how they were able to afford the price drop, the hardware was expensive.

FF 2 on the PS1 Final Fantasy Origins disc doesn't work well with my 60gb PS3. FF 1 on the same disc worked perfectly, but FF 2 glitches out and freezes when certain events happen. So far, thats the only ps1/ps2 game I've had any trouble with on a 60 gb.
