playing ps3 on laptop monitor

is it possible to do? I have a tv tuner, the hp one... I mean I can watch tv fine but somehow I can't seem to get the red,white yellow cables to work... does that mean ps3 don't work on my laptop screen?

it will not work right unless you have an output,

alienware laptops have s-video outputs so it can work on those

Yeah, I do it all the time. Just make sure the video output settings on the PS3 are switched to "Comosite/Svideo" before you plug the PS3 into the laptop TV tuner.

The svideo output on the laptop is only used to display the contents of the laptop display on a TV. It has no real use in conjunction with a TV tuner and the PS3.

but which program do I use to play it? I watch tv on media center but idk which channel ps3 is going to show up?
