You didn't see anyone around you using any electronic devices? The last time I was on a plane, I also thought I shouldn't use any electronic devices, but as soon as the plane took of people around me started taking out their DS' and PDAs so I figured its okay
Yes you can us it on a plane and no nothing and I mean "NOTHING" happens or would happen if you played it while the plane is taking off or while landing. Just charge your battery. Depending on how long your flight is you might want to go out and buy a second or third battery for those long flights. I own the fat PSP and have 3 batteries for it.
