WRPG and JRPG's have many cultural differences that are prefered by a variety of people around the globe. Today, I picked up Fallout 3 and wanted to start playing today but then I remembered I was in the midst of playing Resonance of Fate. Surely playing both at the same time will make playing time and the actual experience a little less then what it could've been by itself (that's just me though), but does playing a WRPG and JRPG at the same time really affect YOU?

I can't play 2 rpg's simultaneously, PERIOD. Forget about where they're from.

Well, I'd say playing any SP heavy game at the same time could lessen the experience. Especially story driven ones. I always try to play one game at a time where possible, unless it's MP or sports games or the sort. I still hate the term WRPG and JRPG though, much prefer action RPG and...umm..traditional RPG I guess? or even the PC RPG and Console RPG terms that went around a while back. Either way, I tend to dislike WRPGs aside from Bioware stuff(which would probably fall into traditional rpg, hence why I prefer that term)

Hmm.. i've never really thought of it that way.. I am playing Mass Effect 2, Shin Megami Tensei Strange Journey and Yakuza 3 right now and seem to be doing fine.. they're all fairly different from one another though.. I never take on 2 traditional JRPGs at the same time.. Which has unfortunately led me to have alot of JRPGs i have yet to play.. I really should start Sakura Wars one of these days..

I like both types of RPGs, but I can't do more than one at a time. InApril until about JuneI played Final Fantasy XIII and then afterwards I started Dragon Age. One RPG at a time is my general rule. In fact, I'd be too afraid to play more than one at a time. The shock of it all might just send me into a coma. :P

I wouldn't normally start a new game when I haven't finished the first one anyway, unless it sucked or was on a handheld console/PC.

If it has a great story I can only play one at a time. But lately I'd have to add having a good combat system in there though, as I had to take several breaks during Lost Odyssey as I just got so bored with all of the random encounters where the combat was the exact same every time (or had 3-4repeated variations in any given area).

Lately I've been playing FO3:GOTY and Demon's Soul's back and forth, as they both seem so repetitive and bland to me. Demon Souls has practically no story and FO is just kind of boring so far. But when I played Mass Effect or Dragon Age I hadtrouble putting the controller down or even playing multiplayer on other games, as I they both just sucked me into their worlds so well.

Nah, I don't seem to experience that. A few months ago I found myself playing four different RPGs at once. Oblivion, FFXIII, Dragon Age and Eternal Sonata. Granted I played and beaten all four beforehand, but it doesn't affect how I feel about them over another. Each one is different in gameplay and I think if the games you play are all different, one experience won't outshine another if you enjoy them. And I still played WoW and MW2 in between :P

I can never bring myself to move back and forth between two or more games...unless one of them is a pick up and play type(maybe Street Fighter or something like that). It definitely won't allow you to appreciate either game too well as you'll find yourself weighing one over the other as you switch between the two. I

Fallout 3 is one of the few WRPG's I can stand and like, JRPG's are way better, I could play them both at the same time going from one to another, some times even thugh it is fallout 3 feels less like an rpg so that may make things easier on you
