I am one of those contributing to the high sales. I just got my 80GB PS3. If this damn Motorstorm online update ever finishes I might get to play it, but it looks like it could take hours.

Dam thats good news. Surprised I didn't see this in the GameSpot news section, seems like they have very little positive things to say about Sony. Or they seem very selective on which news articles to post, they were quick to put this one up:

It'll be news if there is a sales increase for the PS3 after a games release. Cause it needs to start selling systems based on games and not rely on price drops, at some point.
