In Europe the Playstation 3 for4 consecutive weeks has outsold the xbox360 in2 to 1, and several analyst likeJames Rivington reports for Tech.co.uk that PS3 is on the charge in markets outside the US, and Xbox 360 may be in danger this Christmas even before the year of new Gran Turismo andMetal Geararrives:
"The Sony PS3 could be about to pull off one of the biggest turn-arounds the games market has ever seen. After a slow start, where Sony's console was hampered by its high pricing and lack of quality games, the PlayStation 3 now looks like it's on a roll.
Also The new $399 40GB PS3 is already sold out online and not available in stores at CompUsa according to the website. Upon making a call to 1-800-Compusa the representative stated that they expect more stock back within 2 weeks.
It will be interesting to see it this trend continues at other retailers this holiday season.
And In the week ending 28 October, VG Chartz has the PS3 outselling the Xbox 360 by 10 per cent in the UK, and by almost 50 per cent in Europe /other markets.
