PlayStation 3 HELP!!!!!

I have the 60 GB PS3 I go to play games or watch a movie it shows the logo then when it go black to load the main menu on the games. It freezes is this a simple solution or what. I don't want to pay 150 for repairs for something simple please gve advice if have any ASAP. !!!!!!!!! :(

Well, if it keeps freezing, you'll have to end up paying $150 to get it repaired....

My advice is to just call Sony, and send it in for repairs. Trying to fix it yourself probably isn;t the best thing to do...

Thats why you should get the newer models. They will not fail you (99% of the time)

Thats why you should get the newer models. They will not fail you (99% of the time)

I've had a 60GB for over 2 years, and it hasn't failed on me yet.. :|

It might be an issue with your blu-ray drive. You might need to replace the blu-ray drive itself or you can dissmantle the ps3 and clean the blu-ray lens with a cotton bud and some lens cleaner liquid. Good luck. :)

TC, or anyone else that reads this, DO NOT listen to this advice. Taking apart your PS3 is NOT the thing to do. If your PS3 ever needs repairs, send it to Sony, and let them handle it. Trying to fix it yourself will only lead to more problems most likely...

Thanks for all the advice keep posting. if i decide to clean the blue-ray drive is it easy to take apart. Can i take it to GameStop?

hey should i trade in the ps3 and get credit at game stop or get it fixed for 150 dollars

should i just trade in the games and try new games on it or get rid of it all together the games and the system because i have a wii as well and just play the wii
