Hi, im thinking about joining the darkside. I have a Xbox but my friend is selling a PS3 40gb with a couple of games for £140. Is this a good deal?

Also is there anything better about the playstation 3 as opposed to the Xbox 360? i dont want to start a fight! but please tell me opinions and facts.

Sorry if this should go into system wars please let me know.

i would not buy a 40gb for that price personally not with slims out now i would wait a bit longer for a price drop maybe in the summertime hopefully. I am not going to get into whats better and why though it all comes down to personal preference IMO

i too was an xbox guy, but though i still love my xbox, i HIGHLY reccommend the ps3 (just got one). even if its just for the exclusives, its totally worth it.

hmmmm..... it has fifa 10, nfs shift, little big planet, spryo dawn of dragon, mirrors edge. 2 controllers and a HDMI cable.

my 360 had ring of death...but i love gears of wars..and would buy a new 360 for gears3 when it comes out...>.> but now only my wii is working :(... i need to get my ps3 fixed asap! wot kinda games u getting with the ps3? and why is he selling it? does it have problems with it? Im not sure about GB pounds but if i convert that to AU dollars then i think for a 40gb ps3 its a bit much, maybe get a 120gb ps3slim and buy the games off ur friend instead.

...that was weird half my msg was deleted. N e ways i was typing b4 that My ps3 slim just died..thinks its a power supply problem. only had it for one year. :\ Um yeah but i like the ps3 better cuz of the whole free online gaming, plus i like the shopping online with the ps3 network, plus ps3 is great to use as a media player, plus its a blue ray player, and if u get the newer ones they play 3d games ...i think.. i got all three consoles cuz i liked all the games that came out for them :S

I would recommend getting a ps3 slim, but if you're low on money, then go for it.

All PS3's support 3D with the latest firmware update. The PS3 so far is the only system that can be updated to the latest technology via firmware.

Seems that people still haven't realised how much better the PS3 is. It's the best console ever made. It has a very low failure rate, while Xbox 360 has a very high one. It has a Blu-Ray player, that's still considered one of the best out there; It has free online, it has everything!

The guys from Sony are very right - IT ONLY DOES EVERYTHING!

I don't know how true this is, and I may be wrong, but I hear more about issues with the 60gb and the 40gb than any other sku. A ps3 with a few games for 140 isn't bad though.
