Its great to see them going in the right direction. And to think some people even thought of the ps3's being a failure:roll: ...PFFnavigataOh trust me their still around lurking in the sadows some where. And yeah after 6 months of nonstop bashing and bad press it looks like the PS3 is finally coming out of it.

[QUOTE="X_CAPCOM_X"]Just like the PS2, deja vu.
Remember when people called it the "Useless DVD Player?"
Nene33
Yep, , it's really funny seeing history repeat itself. :D
Yeah, lol, I remember people saying, "DVD is not needed for gaming." Hmmm, where have I heard that before....
30% i heard 33% and the other 66% will soon become bricks also which will costthe othere company (i dont know if i cna say it on here with out getting banned) 3 billion $ to fix while ps3 prices have droped and are now sky rocketing form circuit city.in to some kids living room ready to pwn online.
Sony is taking drastic measures to try and ensure that they make a profit on the PS3.....someday. Pretty early to be deviating from the original business plan I think. I can't believe that anyone would take Sony's moves lately as good. They discontinued versions of the PS3 already, and are taking a price drop. Waaaay too early to be doing these types of things. Sony had a bad business plan and now they're in panic mode.StarkJJthey discontinued one model, and brought another one..... i don't see no panic mod LMAO
someone said they were lurking in the shadows... guess the fanboys have EMERGED!!! EVERYONE RUN!!!
PS3 FTW. Tomorrow is going to be historic!
Eh, people forget about the fact that even back in 2001, $300 was still FEASIBLE for a DVD player/game console. $500 for a Blu-Ray player/game console is a bit much, hell, $400 for a movie player of any kind is still too much.
Also, and I think more than a few of you will agree with me on this one, the strengths of the PS1 and PS2 were in its Japanese support. If you wanted good, quirky, epic, fun, short, long, anything Japanese, you bought Playstation...well...here's my issue, the heavy hitters of the PS3:
-Uncharted
-Warhawk
-Lair
-Heavenly Sword
-MGS4
-FF13
-Haze (If you so decide to call it a heavy hitter)
-Ratchet
-Gran Turismo
-Jak
I count 1 Japanese game. 1. Is that the Sony I came to know and love? No. I think alot of people like me are on the fence waiting for that Japanese experience, sadly the Wii is all the rage over there now and most of the Japanese games will go there...hell, even the 360 has some AMAZING Japanese games coming for it. This gen just feels, different, for Sony.

Um...you are totally wrong. First Sony is know MAKING profit on the PS3, at least according to Bloomberg. http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601087&sid=aYWkGuoeuipo&refer=home I guess you can argue with me, because I am sure you are smarter regarding business topics then Bloomberg. You are probably an editor of like Forbes or Business Weekly...hahaha
Secondly Sony is doing the right thing and now passing the savings on to their loyal customers.
Thirdly another next generation system is still not profitable and had a $1billion dollar setback this week. Somebody is starting to look like they are in trouble.
Wii is cheap and MS is rich. You need to wait to get a Japanese game.Eh, people forget about the fact that even back in 2001, $300 was still FEASIBLE for a DVD player/game console. $500 for a Blu-Ray player/game console is a bit much, hell, $400 for a movie player of any kind is still too much.

as reported by Bloomberg today, Sony has been making money off the console for the past couple of months, ever since they fixed the problems with the blu-ray diodes.
PS3 sucks. Not worth the money no good games. The the home idea is a copy off of Nintendo CovertShadows
you obviously haven't seen either one.
if you even try to compare Home vs. Nintendo's Mii stuff, you are obviously showing your fanboy side.
Lol???? Oo And what is MGS4 FF13 FF13 versus ? It does matter that heavenly isnt japanese? It is east culture game. So what? dont get you really....AzatiS
Uh, Metal Gear Solid has never been a HUGE seller in Japan like FF13 (the 1 game I was talking about). Heavenly Sword an East Culture game? Looks like a greek woman to me...Goddess of War if you will. I don't get you, maybe I could if you took some time to type out the message, English not being your first language, if you are going to try and argue with someone who speaks in English on an English speaking site, then please just take a few more seconds and do it to the best of your ability.

Home is a MAJOR PS3 bright spot. That's what it is.
If you guys are looking for a Halo killer to be announced at E3. There wont be Sony is slowly dying and it's time to abandon ship CovertShadows
sorry, but we don't need a "Halo killer". We have more than just one game that sells the console. so please, move along.
MS has halo 3. too human posibbly GOW 2 world in conflict america's army true soldiers Alan wake....CovertShadows
and what exactly does that have to do with the PS3? the PS3 has equally as good exclusives. so it doesn't really matter.
The wii is out selling the PS3 in Japan. That should tell you something. I am not a wii fanboy i have one but i don't even look at it CovertShadows
and how expensive is the Wii? thank you, now move along. If I could find a Wii, I would go buy one today because they are so cheap. Does that mean it's better than the PS3?
couldnt halo be considered the MGS killer? now MGS just neads a good online mode.matinog
since they are not even the same type game or even close to having the same type story, I will say NO.
Heres the difference guys, (I am a PS3 owner, and its my only platform) things are different this time around. Last time they buried the Dreamcast, but that system sucked and did not have a strong fan base. Nintendo is the other competition, and they continually repeat the same games over and over throught the course of every couple of years. So if you wanted something with new games and innovative ideas, plus the edition of a DVD, you went with Sony.
This time, the competition does not suck, and there is a stronger fan base. Nintendo is being innovative for once, and Sony's new thing is Blue-Ray, which is way expensive. This is good however, because last time Sony could relax after a while, and create half-a$$ed games. This time there is no breathing room, you can only come out with so many crappy games before people turn to the competition to see whats going on over there. Which is fantastic for us PS3 owners, because the developers know they need to be on the ball.
My only worry for this nex-gen is the third-party exclusives. If third-party games (like Assassins Creed) come out on more than 1 system. How much do they need to dumb-it up so that people on different system than the PS3 can get the same experience, and lately this has been especially worrying because of all the titles lost. I know it's just a matter of time, and Im patient, but seriously, we could have had a lot more games RIGHT NOW, if Sony had been a bit more on the ball with they're third party friends. I'll bet they know there mistake though, and will learn from it. (Are learning from it right now)
