I have an older xbox but the xbox gave out on me and doesn't work hardly at all anymore and it broke and i'm thinking about buying a next-gen console (not for awhile though saving up money to move out) But i'm just wondering how the graphics and details are wise for the Sports Game Titles on the PS3? Basketball,Hockey etc

The graphics are terrific on sports games on the current gen consoles, like if you play NBA 2k7, the graphics and gameplay is amazing, however NBA 2k8 graphics flopped but the gameplay makes up for it & baseball games like MLB 2k8 looks amazing as well but the gameplay is crap, I doubt you'll be dissapointed though especially if your upgrading from a last gen system.

NHL 08 is the best graphics ive ever seen in a sports game

and nba live 08 has ammazing grphics

If you want the best sports game graphics on the PS3 or want to see them, look at MLB 08: The Show and in-game videos to see want its made of.

nhl08 gameplay, commentary, and graphics are amazing, but there are still a few glitches and the framerate goes out of control at around 20 goals. the players faces are still emotionless but overall its a great game
