Hey,

I am just wondering whether you put yout PS3 verticle or horizontal? Also, which would be make the console less vulnerable to dust?

-Thanks

I don't even have a PS3 yet, but my guess is that there is more surface area for dust horizontally, but when verticle, there are events exposed for dust to fall into if I am correct.

-Thanks

I leave it vertical. It looks better and I think it gets more air flow that way. The air vents in the bottom has room to blow the hot air out.

diagonal, cause the dust simply rolls down off the console

I have mine horizontal, but raised up on either side with 2 pc game cases so that more of the surface area can dissipate heat. I find it stays as cool as it would vertically, and I dont have to stress about the disk drive giving out like my PS2's did.

Mine's horizontal at the moment. I'd prefer to have it vertical but that would mean putting it on the floor.

I keep it vertical just for space sake. I have no space to put it horizontal. And it seems to get a little more air flow vertically anyway. I've had no performance issues or drive problems yet... knock on wood.

well actually it's a hidden special feature of the ps3 that when you position it upside down, it will have bc already and no more glitches.:P. and no more overheating and will add more hdd space.:D

horizontal - because it much safer and the dust that falls onto it can simply be dusted off

Horizontal. I don't like the idea of dust falling down into the side vents, & on my set-up it's more likely to get knocked over when vertical.

Horizontal because it feels more natural and I am afraid it will tip over when vertical.

Horizontal so it fits into my TV stand, looks real nice as I have a black glass stand with chrome legs.
