Im not sure if this is the right forum to ask this but i really want to get my ps3 online soon but how exactley do i do it?

My only pc is upstairs,my phone socket is downstairs. Im new to all this WI-FI lark so do i connect the router straight into the phone line and then use a wireless adaptor to connect my pc? Its just i read you have to use an ethernet cable to connect the main pc but other places said you dont have to. Can someone please explain?

Thanks guys :o)

hi just follow these steps

1)take the router to ur computer

2)unplug the ethernet cable thats plugged in ur computer

3)plug that ethernet cable(step 2s ethernet cable) to ur router(not in any port...its usually the first port)

4)ur router should have came with a ethernet cable...so plug one end of that cable in the router(second port) and the other end to the computer.

5)turn ur computer on and install the software that comes with the routher(make sure that all routers r on)

6) enjoy call of duty 4 online

7)if u need help let me know....good luck
