we got a good 5 or 6 more years before we start talking PS4 vs 720lol, vs the Wii2. truenextgen
dude the 720 can be here by 2010. thats in 2 years, do you honestly think that the 360 will last 8 1/2 years? it will be ancient by then compared to up to date technology

Thats true. But If they stick a system out in the blue. With the other two in full swing. And running at full go with hundreds of games. And they come out alone with a few buged up first year games. With hardware that will take another 3 years to figure out in 2010. Theyll die out. Its the reason why systems line up close to each other. Its not like , Ok we have a system , give us a hundred new games. And program it all in a few months for this new hardware that you programmers have no clue about. It takes years to even get into a flow.
Any wishful thinking on a Micro machine to come out in the middle and be a superpower, is a lost thought. Developers wont be able to cross platform so they wont at all. When their making tuns on Wii and PS3 games that they have established game mechanics for.

sure, theyre in full swing now, but that wont be the case in 2+ years. think about it, already topline PC's have so much better hardware in them, think about how much better theyll be later. not to say that ps3/360 will be obselete in 2 years but a new generation of systems is closer than you think
The PS3 is a year and a half old, so talking about a possible Playstation 4 seems a bit premature, don't you think?;)
Anyway, the Playstation brand has been very successful, and highly lucrative for Sony, and pending the PS3 turns out to be a huge success (which I think it will) I'm sure a PS4 is highly likely. Many years away, though, so don't plan on hearing anything about it for quite a while.

Yeah, but most people won't give a **** about new technology if they are forced to buy another $500-$600 console only 3 or 4 years after the release of the last one. Its good for technology but its really bad business.

ms is making money, why would they want to go through launch new hardware new interface and losing money?
I believe they will keep it alive until ps3 surpass it in sale or match/come close
wii in the other hand will release one sooner than every one

no, MS will want to get the edge on sony again and try to release before them, theyre not going to sit on their hands for another 3 years. expect a new xbox by 2010. the last xbox lasted 5 years, what makes the 360 so special?
