Playstation and Proud: Favorite Exclusives

Hey fellow PS3 owners. I am quite confident that this type of thread has been done multiple times before but I've never seen one and I'm interested. What are your favorite PS3 exclusives? What games/series keep you to stick with this console brand? Many of the best games are multiplatform nowadays (many previous exclusives have turned so, which is fine) but there's gotta be some exclusive you are thankful to have been able to play.

Personally, I'm a huge Yakuza fan (waiting desperately for 5 to receive a Western release announcement). I also deeply enjoyed the two InFamous games and, of course, Uncharted series has been the source of so much fun this gen.

How are you two fanboys enjoying giving each other reach arounds? 

Yakuza series. Ever since JRPG drought, Yakuza has became my primary reason to stick with PS. JRPG takes backseat as secondary cause many of them aren't to my liking (stares at NISA games). Thank God for quality titles like VC, ROF, Eternal Sonata, Ni no Kuni and Tales but in span of 7 years that amount is too little, I need ******** more.

Depends on that tiny chance of Y5 localization and quantity of good JRPG in the future, I might or might not get PS4 then go full PC playing RTS and Falcom's JRPG.

Ironically, almost none of 1st party titles interests me anymore because lack of Japanese dev support by Sony. Not saying their western titles are bad. They are pretty good but none of them are memorable or left me wanting more. Maybe TLOU and TLG but so far there is no gameplay video of TLG so no hype.

I stick with the Playstation brand because of Ratchet and Clank and Metal Gear Solid (now its multiplat though). 

My favorite exclusives this generation though have to go to Uncharted, inFamous, Killzone, Resistance, God of War and I am truly happy they made a Twisted Metal game (favorite longest running series from Sony).

Another big reason I love the Playstation brand is because of the indie games like Journey, Pixel Junk games, Sound Shapes, Critter Crunch (with the gf coop), Super Stardust HD Derrick the Deathfin, and some more.

I think Sony makes some really original games.  Their SCE Japan development teams in particular makes some of the most original games around.  Games like Tokyo Jungle, Gravity Rush, ICO, Demon's Souls and Folklore.  SCE Europe has Quantic Dream and Media Molecule.  SCEA has Naughty Dog and Sucker Punch.  And then you've got folks at studios like ThatGameCompany and Level-5 that have made some really good PS exclusives.

People can say what they want about Sony, but they're always making new and original IPs.

I really enjoy the inFAMOUS series personally. I also had a lot of fun with Ratchet and Clank a Crack in time. Other than those, Sony's first party was underwhelming. The main reason I keep purchasing Sony consoles is because of the 3rd party/multiplat support. Nintendo lost that a good while ago.

Yakuza 4 is probably my favorite game of the system (Demons Souls am cry).

Tales of Xillia may overtake it this year... and then Yakuza 5 may overtake that (if it ever comes out) :P

I had a feeling this might happen (though perhaps it's my own fault for the way I presented this thing). First off, I had no intention of this being a fanboy thread where everyone gets to feel all high and mighty about owning a certain console; I just wanted to see owners' favorite PS3 exclusives and figured this was the appropriate place to find out. I'd be just as interested in seeing a similar type of thread in an Xbox or Nintendo forum. Secondly, being proud of your console doesn't necesserily make you a hating fanboy; similarly, being proud of your nationality or background doesn't necesserily make you a racist hater of other cultures.

Journey and the Uncharted series. Am looking forward to both The Last of Us and Beyond Two Souls. SONY FOREVER!!!! :twisted:

Loved playing MAG for almost a year solid, still play once in a blue moon.

Journey was good.

Played games on PS+ like Spec Ops : The Line.

inFamous (played #1, it was mediocre, enjoyed #2 more), Killzone (1 was too old to enjoy, 2&3 were a blast)

Heavy Rain was really cool.

Hey dude, don't take it that way....well at least from me! I knew exactly what you where trying to say and I don't see you as being a fanboy. I just thought what Sleepnsnurf said was funny...it doesn't mean I agree with what he said.:) Be honest...if the comment wasn't directed at you, you'd be laughing also!!!!:P @lex_in_the_moon

these are my top 5 PS3 exclusives

Uncharted, Heavy Rain and Ratchet and Clank are my favorite exclusives. I had to force myself to put down the controller and take a break the first time I played Heavy Rain. I also like the Persona series (even though Persona 4 Area is multiplat).

I freaking want Kenzan! over here!:x Geez during the credits for Yakuza: Dead Souls they like flashback to the previous games and I'm all "Awesome:)" and then Kenzan! shows up...FU Sega.:cry:
