Playstation freezing problem..........

Mine freezes in the middle of a game every great once in a while.

Is this something i should be worried about?

Helloi experienced a very slow juddering effect yesterday with Baja EOC, not had this happen with another game touch wood.This game is pre-owned from the nearest game store (that might have something to do with it or not).What does yours do just suddenly freeze or something ???.I own the launch PS3 and it sometimes freezes after going on the net via wifi.But i think wifi isn't as brilliant as people make out anyway.The signal here goes through two brick walls and the PS3 still freezes more than occasionally.At the same time the cordless phones will work 100 yards away at the end of the street, go figure that out.

Mine freeazes when I play MLB the show '09.

mine freezed maybe once or twice while playing nba 2k9

Have you checked for fingerprints on your games? Blu-rays seem to attract more fingerprints than dvds and fingerprints can definitely cause freezing.

An occasional freeze is fine.

it only happens with one game...cod4 (my 1st game) happened to me 6 times....only happens in mp 2....wtf!

it does alot when i play fallout 3.. a few times with cod4 and a few with uncharted and lbp

My PS3 also frezes occasionally, and I was kinda worried as well. Try to get a can of air and clean out your PS3. That seems to help. Also, as previosuly mentioned, make your sure discs are as clean as possible.

Lastly, make sure your PS3 has adequate room for ventilation (due to overheating), and that you give it a rest between long gaming sessions.
