Playstation Home coming Very Very Very Soon

We've heard about Warhawk's integration into PlayStation Home, and we're incredibly happy about the news. But there's a rumor that may make us even more giddy about Home. According to this juicy, supposedly insider, tidbit, we're going to get PlayStation Home "VERY VERY VERY soon". According to a PlayStation forum member, he managed to get in touch with an insider, who "shared" his/her knowledge about the development of PS3 games, and the things that a game needs for it to get included in the PlayStation Home network. Check out this excerpt, and read it carefully: A game must be able to integrate into Home, a game must support "Accomplishments". Right there, two important things, the PS3 system for achievements is called "Accomplishments", and Home is coming out VERY VERY VERY Soon. So a PS3 game should support Accomplishments - which sounds awfully like Xbox 360's Achievements system - before it can be integrated into Home. It's pretty much plausible, and the idea of being able to share and brag about your hard earned Accomplishments fits Home's atmosphere. Do take the above statement, which is filed under rumors for now, with a grain of salt. We sure do hope that Home is indeed coming soon, however. VERY VERY VERY soon.

First of all... Hello since it's my first post :)

As for the topic I've been reading about HOME for a while and I really can't wait for it to go live.

It's surely a nice addition and hopefully it will be glitch free so I would say that I prefer to wait longer and get quality than get it sooner and struggle with bugz.

I said the same thing to my friend last night. I mean gdc is thurs, so it would be a cool release if they said right before they closed the sony conference:

"Well, we would also like it to be known that HOME offically will be launched today 6pm est for all of those who wanted to know"

The day they release Home they will make a huge announcement.

So, no... I don't think it will be out this week. Maybe next month.

If you want to keep your hopes in a conference announcement, I would say the E3 is far more likely, but that is a long way to come...

If you want to keep your hopes in a conference announcement, I would say the E3 is far more likely, but that is a long way to come...

Ya I know that the probability of Sony dropping big announcements at this years GDC is very slim. But I was just saying that it would be very cool though. I think the most we'll get this year is probably new dev tools and/or 'how to's' to help w/ the expansion of Home.

But you can always jump-in and have some good text conversations on here from time to time, even to make a point regardless if some disagree and some agree with you.
