Everytime I try and download the 1.41 update my PS3 beeps 3 times and resets... so I haven't been able to get onto home in months... :S

Anyone have any suggestions or similar problems?

no it doesnt, dont automatically assume that its YLOD just cuz a game or software aint updating., but it could be from ur router setting or something with ur connection. i also was experiencing the same problem, even with certain games, i couldnt update GT5 either. so anyways i opened a few ports by following the instructions on playstation.com and i downloaded GT5 and HOME update with a breeze. so try opening some ports if u know what ur doing. if not go to playstation.com and go to help section and type in ur problem u should be able to get a bunch of options to do, but the main one it shows first is opening ports on ur router so give that a shot
