it seems like all this negative press and such are also getting to me....i look at my playstation 3 as i read such things as losing exclusives etc..i wonder did i make a mistake buying this system?? im not a fanboy at all i just really can not see myself buying a 360 or wii..i have owned all playstation systems and not one failed me once..but it seems like its going to happen with the ps3 i try to stay positive with sony but its just not happening anymore...or maybe its just the lack of games :( anyone else feel the same way??

Let me get this straight. You're wondering if you made the right decision because a videogame is also going to be on the 360. You'll still be able to play the game on the PS3 you know.

the only potential problem this brings is a lack of quality by dividing development time between 2 versions other than 1

but it has its benefits, although in this case not really for ps3 fans but if you think about ninja gaiden or oblivion and possibly others in the future, turn about's fair play it seems. Maybe gameing is becoming to mainstream.

I have been a Sony fanboy ever since I got my hands on a Playstation and Final Fantasy VII.  The original Metal Gear Solid was also one of the first games I played on the PS and one of my favorite all-time games.  That is why the FF and MGS series really defines a big part of the PS, PS2, and PS3 for me.  If I hear any news from Square Enix or Konami about multiplatform, I don't know what I'm going to do either.  That is why Nintendo fanboys can always be sure about not losing their best exclusives (Zelda, Mario, Metroid, etc.) because Nintendo themselves make all of their best their games.  Even though there are good Sony first-party games to look forward to, losing third-party exclusives such as these will be a big hit to me as a Sony fanboy.

I wouldn't worry too much unless you are looking at the 360's exclusives with envey, then you would have made a mistake, a very expensive one. Just pray the rest of Sony's big hitters stay in your camp.

I've been an avid gamer since 1988, it makes no sense to me that some of you are single console owning fanboys. Why not own a 360 and a PS3, that's what I plan on owning. If you can manage to find the money to buy a PS3 you can get the money to buy a 360 also.

You people think that these game companies give a crap about you? No, they want to sell games, and as many as they can to get a return on their investment.

Why on earth would you become attached to Sony or MS, or Nintendo and limit yourself to just the games that come out on those systems. It makes no sense, and if you're a real gamer you wouldn't do that.

Developers want more money, just deal with it, that's all they really want, they really don't care what you think to be honest.

I own a 360 and PS3, but I wonder if I did make a mistake getting a PS3 last month.  I have really enjoyed the 360 since I bought it at launch.  The PS3 has a lot of potential, but games are the reason people buy systems.  I own Resistance: FoM and nothing else appeals to me at this time.  Granted, I did just buy God of War 2 to play on the PS3 (one of my fav games ever). I bought the PS3 for the exclusives...God of War, Heavenly Sword, and DMC4.  I'm not a fan of FFXIII or MSG4 so this news really makes me second guess my decision of dropping $600 on that shiny black box.

I certainly hope Sony focuses more on system exclusives.  Microsoft has a lot of big exclusives that make you want to get one over another console (Halo 3, Gears of War, Mass Effect, Bioshock, Two Worlds, Rare games[Kameo, Perfect Dark, Banjo]).

Sony has God of War, Heavenly Sword, and the blossoming Resistance series.  I believe that MSG4 and FF could easily turn out to be multi-platform as well.  I'm not quite sold on Lair just yet(not sure if it looks fun and could be repetitive).  Sony needs to really push their own titles and put more effort into creating original content.  A Shadow of Colossus sequel would be a good start.  Ratchet&Clank looks very promising. I hope that Sony doesn't wait any longer to really get things moving in the right direction.  Good games = success.Â
