I have a stupid question that I can't find the answer to anywhere. Is it possible to use the Playstation Move as a remote for Blu Rays/Netflix. Can anyone elaborate on whether this is an intuitive, easy use of the remote/good replacement for the official remote?

Yeah, sort of. I've navigated Netflix with it before, but I prefer just using a controler.

You can use it as a remote for Blu-rays with it, yes. The square, triangle, X, circle, select, and start buttons serve exactly the same function as on the dual shock. The move button just repeats the function of X. You scroll through menu options by holding the trigger down and tilting the controller (it would be nice if you could adjust the sensitivity for this). The biggest limitation with using this as a blu-ray remote is that you have to use the pop-up menu (triangle) to rewind or fast forward.

PS. If you watch a lot of movies on the PS3 then you might want to consider buying the remote. While a bit pricy, especially since it's not universal, this is without a doubt the most intuitive controller for playback.
