Playstation Store Wont Accept my CC

I'm getting pretty pissed off here. I have tried my two credit cards, and my wife's card. I have my bank statement with the address matching exactly what I am putting in. I have tried this about 15 times now and am locked out for the second day. I was on the phone with my bank and everything is accurate.

I called sony support, spoke to a rep and he tried to help, but today for some reason i didnt even get my full 10 tries, after 5 it locked me out. I then asked for a supervisor and he said there is nothing that can be done. I told him i never would have bought the system if i knew i could not download content. He understood but still said there was nothing they could do.

He then told me in the next 6 months they *might* have prepaid cards, so basically for 6 months i am without PSN store content. I cannot even use the system to its fullest. This is the worst crap I have ever heard. Does anyone know if there is a way to go even over the supervisor's head and get someone to force this through?

Had the same problem, mine said my info wasn't valid. I did use my debit card though. I'm going to buy a prepaid Visa or Mastercard. If that doesn't work, I'm going to hurl.

Force what through? How can Sony do anything about an automated billing system? If your bank isn't giving acceptance to your CC purchases it has nothing to do with Sony.CellAnimation

my bank has no problem accepting it, i use it online weekly. its a problem with sony and them being crazy about matching everything down to the spacing and case of your information. i use this card on the wii and 360 with no problems at all. i use it on tons of websites and this is the only problem i have ever had.

I will probably try the giftcard thing out if I cant get this working. What do you put in for address information then?

i got the same problem. have a visa credit card. the problem is sony doesn't accept credit cards if the bank isn't in your country. like i said i have a visa. the visa is coming from a bank that sits in luxembourg but i live germany. so it doesn't work :(I_AM_MEGATRON

Thats odd, i dont see why that would be a problem whilst my direct debit card in Europe will be seen as a credit card and work for the US Store.

TC: many people has this problem, not just you. I also contacted Sony and they said the same stuff: nothing they can do.

So a whole bunch of people (me included) now needs to wait for the PSN pre-paid cards to be able to purchase anything from the sotre :(
