Playstation3 Needs to be praised.

But after all the whining and groaning, Sony decided to make customers happy and put those features 4 months later? And as a thanks to Sony for the time they spent and costs assossiated, all people can do is Complain more and insult Sony for trying to better their machine? People need look harder and and be thankful. Sony should be thanked, and I will thank them with my dollar, and buy more of their awesome products. I think the anger is because people who have other systems are mad because their previously exclusive features are now on the PS3 too. Is that something to get mad over? Videogame consoles and their new features?
If you aren't going to buy the PS3 in the first place, then why care about what it has? It should be non-existent to you, and non of your concern.
I praise Sony. I am very glad that they are doing this stuff, to make the experience for us owners and future owners a bright one. It just seems that Sony is really taking good care of their Customers and listening to them. If you bought a PS3, Sony will do anything to make your purchase a happy purchase. I respect them for that. When i bought a PS1 and a PS2, i was never unhappy. they've never failed me.abodaghee

Wiis and achievements are overated. I'd be more happy without them. I have a friend that is always talking about medals on Resistance...mikeslemonadeThat's not all Home is about yeah that's part of it but it's completely different from Miis. Miis are 2-D and can only be stuck in one room unless you bring it to someone elses house, Home allows you to go to your Friends on your List's home and do so much more like TV, Listen to Music on their HDD play games look at their rewards, trophies and achievements and so much more and it's all in a 3-D world with your custom Avatar. Personally I want to see the PS3 do better. It is a great thing that Sony or any manufacturer listens to their consumers. I also personally think the PS3 sucks the big one!!!!!!! At least for right now. I am at this point very disapointed in my purchase. I have played half way thru RFoM and it was .....OK. Good decent looking game but nothing like Gears on the 360. I want to see more from Sony...I want that good dev support that we saw with the PS2. I just don't see it right now. Thats why most of my time is split between the PC, 360 and Wii right now. After spending that much on a PS3 back in Dec. I was just expecting more. Who knows I really hope Sony proves me comletely wrong this summer!!! BR movies are awesome by the way on a 61" 1080p Samsung DLP, with that aspect I am happy. It is not a bad game and I am over half way thru it. All I said is it is OK, not that great of a FPS when compared to others. I think the same of the Halo Series. As for playing online. I have been playing FPS since the days of Wolfenstien and the old Doom. If I wanted to play a huge multiplayer I would play BF2 on 64 man servers no lag with my Core2 Dou @ 3.0, 2 gigs of Crucial, 680i Mobo and a 8800gtx so nothing special there you mentioned.

I bought the system because I thought it would rock and wanted the BR player......and frankly, because I could. No one said anything about not being appealing. Where did you get that? RFoM looked AWESOME but then I played it and it is well just OK. That doesn't mean there are not titles out there that I can't wait to get my hands on.

1- notices you didnt name any of those titles, none of which scored higher than R:FOM 2-i began playing FPS with wolfenstein 3d also, continuing through blake stone, hexen, heretic, doom, quake, duke nukem 3d, and finally getting sick of the genre. long before that, i played games like Space Quest, Kings Quest, 3D Pong, etc. R:FOM brought me back to the genre, mainly after i saw my brother play the final levels, with all the amazing weapons. im not comparing it to computer gaming, cause for the computer you are laying out there, we are talking some serious coinage. sure, more online could be done, but after 40 players, it would get a bit jumbled. PC gaming is also the pinnacle of gaming, of course its better. but when you play R:FOM and notice the physics, and the impressive AI, and the amazing weapons, its a well made game, and obviously impressive enough to get 9+ on almost all sites(except this one of course). 3-the wii is fun, but its having the same problem as the ps3, yet i hear no one say crap about it and its lack of games. 4-they are delivering, after 4 months they are blowing the lid off and bringing out everything. time and time again i see people complaining about things that they are coming out with. i dont think any of the consoles are bad, i do hate M$ with a passion, but the 360 is a fine console, and i never say otherwise. gears of war to me doesnt impress me, while the graphics are definitely stunning, the physics are god awful. i watched some guy walk over a body and it rolled like a rag doll for like 10 feet. when they shoot someone with a normal projectile, the things explode almost like a water balloon of blood. its ridiculous. and i have yet to be impressed by the AI in that game. now R:FOM i wasnt too fond of at first, i didnt give it a chance. after playing it for a while, the AI is utterly amazing, even on easy, the chimera would move or duck if they saw you sniping or iron sight aiming at them. they flank you, they throw grenades effectively, it was amazing. the physics are definitely a step up from any of the games ive seen come out yet. if you dont like the console, thats fine, but dont complain that sony isnt doing anything, cause they obviously are, we are getting motorstorm, oblivion, rainbow six, etc. the big update is next week, and they are adding all these great things without charging. its like they hand the world on a platter, and people still complain.He's right, The PS3 needs to be praised.

There are more but you can search, they weren't all blockbusters but they seemed to fair better than the majority of PS3 games (that doesn't mean I personally enjoyed them...Perfect Dark Zero what a joke).
I will take back my fanboy statement then after that, good post. I think all three consoles are great. Gears, I laughed when you made the rag doll statement...too true! The AI isn't the best either. The game is graphically amazing but we all know that isn't everything. I truly want the PS3 to get it done!! Like I said I want Sony to do good because I am a consumer. I felt the same about the 360when it came out but not as badly, it had a few good amount of games that were new. They may not have been ground breakers but they were rated ok.
 I wish I would have seen the same from the first Sony line up too, thats all. I also don't think the PS3 is the king of all consoles, nor do I think the 360 0r Wii is. I have them all to compliment one another. Me I am a big time PC gamer but at the same time I can not get enough of consoles. Let's just hope they all make it so we can get more games. I want more games for my PS3......I'm tired of GT HD.

well, i think i see where your coming from about Sony having all that, but if you remember both of their console launches before, it was just like this, and look where it ended up. my only complaint is that if we keep the negativity around, then the developers might not push the PS3 to the limits. obviously the voice of the people does things, sony is doing what people asked, and if the developers listen to the negative responses about the PS3, then the great new tech will fail to be utilized as it should be. im really excited more about the Cell more than the console itself, if it takes off, imagine what they can do with this technology, make GPUs with stacks of SPEs, make stacked cell CPUs, they could put these in computers, back it by linux(as i stated, i cant stand M$ and their worthless windows OS, worst pile of crap ever made, and my main reason for hating them so much)and get game support from Sony's studios, and make some of the best gaming PC's in existence. but i also want them to push the PS3 hard, to show its amazing physics and AI. i know the box and the PS3 are both capable of great graphics, so thats gonna happen no matter what. but the big difference is going to be the physics and AI, they state so far that its possible with the Cell to make an environment that will react and change on its own, with nothing preprogrammed. think about a ever changing environment that reacts to what you do, stays that way, and changes over time. the AI could be so great, and the realistic physics they can produce, make things react just like they would in real life, it honestly excites me to think about how great it will be with the Cell, so i want it to be utilized. M$ made a good console, but its not innovative, M$ never has made innovation in their entire business lives, thats what really gets annoying, they like to use the same, stagnant old tech, and not jump into the future. sure its harder to program for, but anything new and badass is going to be a little harder, but it will be worth it. if we dont get all that stuff, cause a lot of people are mad cause the PS3 doesnt have achievement points, then that would be the dumbest reason not to have an amazing tech ive ever heard. while i dont mean this directly to you, it seems you made some points, i just mean in general something petty like that can ruin something so big with short sightedness. see where im coming from? yes, deep down, i want the PS3 to succeed for my own personal benefit in the end, of course. but it will benefit the entire tech community in the end. sorry if i ramble, sometimes i get too many ideas at once going on, and i get babblingGzus666I disagree on one part you said where the developers will not push the PS3 to the limits because of all the negativity. Sony received lot of negativity when they show the KillZone CGI trailer back in 05 thinking that PS3 can do that and it was real game play. Now you see Guerrilla and Sony pushing the KillZone to meet the goal of that CGI trailer shown at E3 because of all the negative criticism they recieved. Basically they want to shut all those critics out there and let them know that Sony and Guerrilla can do it.
I just wanna comment on the Sudden jump in PS3 supporters. Im a regular on this site and never before have i seen so much Sony supporters. I don't pay attention to Hate and Fanboyism.
Another problem people had was the titles at launch and the first few months. If we looked at the PS and the PS2 launch windows we would all know that they never did very well to start out, but within 6 months to a year the great games started to hit the system. The same will be done with the PS3. The online store as well as the games will be fine and the PS3 will be as strong as its suppose to. We as consumers have to give it time to grow like the ps2 and the 360 now.
I had no doubts that the PS3 will be great over time(man i spent 20hrs in line to preorder this badboy), but we just have to let it grow. Most people who have hated the system will eat crow sooner or later, but the most important thing is to wait and let the chips fall where they may. I am happy with the direction and I can't wait till it fully blooms(Man I am gone at the moment. lol)

Yep. Its kinda like the idea of Megaman Batlle Network. The good things of what Sony is doing are that they are actually trying to match competition service, keeping it free (that means that they will be adds most likely so that they can keep the thing going) but also, they are giving it some extra stuff, like the trophies, the file sharing system, etc.
