I'm going to Best Buy on friday to pick up a PS3. I just want some suggestions on what I should buy game/accessory wise. I'm planning on buying Virtua Fighter 5 and Resistance. I'm sure this has been asked quite a few times, but please answer! Thanks!! :)
I would wait until July because there are several deals from Sony/Blu-ray disc association. One of the deals is that a blu-ray player purchased after July 1st will receive 5 free Blu-ray movies, and another deal where you get a $50 gift card from Sony when you buy a PS3, 2 games, and a controller. I think those are the two deals, out...you might hafta look around for the exact details but I think I got the jist of the deals.
i would pick up rainbow 6 vegas, i just got it today and i love it. honesly there are not to many games out right now that are to amazing, if u like basketball NBA 07 is a good game too
Ninja gaiden sigma and rainbow 6 vegas. But if I were you I would hold off till next week so you can cash in on the awesome deal from the Bluray association.
If you love fighting games then VF5 should hold you off for awhile. Tekken 5DR was available on the online store but it was taken down cause they are beefing up Tekken 5 DR:Online so i mean, it'll be 25$ bucks for a full fledged PS3 game when it comes out. You really can't go wrong with resistance. It's offline and online content will keep you busy for a long time, trust me. There are a few other suggestions worth mentioning, but you didn't really say what your taste in games were so its hard to give advice. Also keep in mind, Ninja Gaiden Sigma is coming out next week, so if your interested in that or not, you should plan ahead with your wallet in mind.

get HDMI if your TV supports it, or at least component cable
Well, u might want to get R6V or darkness over resistance becasue people are gonna switch over to them. There will still be people online with resistance but most will switch. It seems like most will switch over to R6V so u might want to get that over darkness and resistance. You will also want a mic to play a fps online cause it really helps but bestbuy might not be the best place to buy it. An extra controller to play with friends is also a def but it can wait.
