pls help me w/ headset

my headset (platroics explorer) works in XMB but not in motorstorm would some1 set up a chat w/ me for a minute just so i can see if it is the mic or if people like to ignore me.

Sony needs to get a standard mic or at least pack one with the console.

That datel mic is in stores now.  I don't see the point of packing one when any bluetooth headset works though.
