[POLL] Are you a gamer or a collector?

I decided to make this poll because I want to see if there are more gamers or collectors in this forum.

I am definately not a collector because usually when i finish a game, I sell it or trade it for new one, which I haven't played yet. So I am more or less a gamer :D.

And you are?

I buy games, play them, and if I like them I keep them. Even if I beat the game and have no desire to play it at the current time, I don't sell it because I'll always go back to it.

There's only two instances where I'll consider selling a game:

• I hate the game so much that I can't stand it. Fortunately this doesn't happen to me so I'm not affected by this.

• I buy a game, sort of like it, but I don't feel it was worth what I paid. I may go ahead and sell it only if I get back the majority (if not all) of my money. Later on I pick the game back up when the price is more appropriate

In that sense I collect, but I'm not one of those people who buys games just for the sake of increasing the number of titles they own with little to no intention of playing them.

I consider myself to be both. Gamer-side, I play all the games that I can get my hands on. Collector-side, I keep every game that I bought plus if there is an LE/SE edition, I will always choose the LE/SE.

I will usually sell a game when I am dont with it. A shelf full of games I will never play does me no good.

Of course if a game made me a very good impression i will keep it probably forever. Such games for me are GTA IV and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (I will probably never sell or trade these two).

But still i am not a collector. Here are some games i remember selling or trading:Beowulf, Folklore, Motorstorm, Resistance: Fall of Man, Sonic The Hedgehog and Uncharted: Drake's Fortune.

Im a gamer but i keep my games so i guess you could say im a gamer and a collector but i dont see it that way a collector is somebodu who collects action figures etc generally they dont use them they just collect them keep them in there wrappers in tip top condition.

I keep my games as i see no need to sell them the game stores offer silly prices so much that you would have to trade in 4-5 just to get a new game, 5 games costs me £200 and game mainly only offers £3-£10 for games its pointless IMO, i can afford my games so i guess thats why it doesnt bother me some people may need to sell a few of theres just to buy a new one thats fair enough but In my situation i dont really need that £3-£10 to buy a new one id rather just keep it/give it to my nephew.

A collector may collects whatever he wants and it is not crucial if it's not sealed (collector - someone who collects things that are interesting or attractive).

I would have to say I'm both. I only call myself a collector because I never get rid of my games. I do a lot of research before buying, so I usually pick great games for myself.

Sometimes I think about trading them in, but when they get old and Gamestop's highest offer is around 10 bucks, I always say its not worth it.

Sometimes I sell them or trade them for another game on craigslist.

I definetly consider myself a collector as well as a gamer. I see games as an art form and just possessing the my games always remind me of the variety and unlimited possibilities that games can have. And of course I play them too. And selling them is just not worth it man, you buy a game for 60-80 bucks and then trade it in for 15, I don't know how rich are most of these kids here, but they really should learn how money works in the world.PSdual_wielder

I will say again that in my country game price is defferent and i pay 129 for new game and than i can trade it or sell it for 70-80. For me it's better that way because I am still in school and my parents gave me money for only 2 games (when i got my PS3) and told me that they will buy me one game a year.
