Not really. If the tophies are dumb then thats what they are. I'm not gonna waste my life getting the general trophy in Warhawk. If they give me a challenge then I'll definitely shoot for it. Hardest ones I got were the speed run trophies in Mirror's Edge and the Trophy you get for beating Killzone 2 on Elite. The endlist setlist in RB2 was doable so I set up a day to get that trophy no prob.
I play games for my own enjoyment, and personally it doesn't matter to me if a game has trophy support or not. But, in saying that, games that have trophies tend to have more replay-value, since I have objections/reasons to go back and play through the games after beating them. I like the fact that the trophy system doesn't give you a 'gamerscore', it rather let's you collect and show off the trophies that you've earned along the way. At first, I wasn't too big of a fan of the trophies, but I'm enjoying them more and more. :)
yeah i think it really adds replay value... but i have noticed that it takes away from the initial experience of the game, because im worried about missing a trophy... sad but true...
Love trophies. Adds great replay value to games as well as a sense of achievement. I'd play a game with trophies over a game without, and could possible effect my purchases.
Hope Sony adds something nice for us trophy collectors. Even if its only in Home?
No. I actually don't like them because I play games on the PS3 in my living room and mine in my room, and they keep me from being able to transfer my save file from each system. I thinks it kind of dumb.
I voted a lil bit... I will vare if I had the time, but my time to play is extremelly limited. I have like 15 games behind... so I had to stop playing for trophies, I get all the stuff I care before throphies came around.. like on RE games I like having all weapons (bc is awesome :P) so I go for that... but others trophie required to much time and is just for the trophy, specially that are like "kill 30 enemies with X weapon" and that for some reason is now on every single game.. :? SO.. yea.. I`m no ever getting a platinum one :P
Yes I care about trophies, but only if it's a game i like. I'm not going to just play a game for trophies alone. And I won't let something like a game not having trophies keep me from playing a game. Some of the best games that the ps3 has to offer don't have trophies, ie: Metal Gear Solid 4, Valkyria Chronicles.
I care a little bit. Dang maybe I should have chosen YES because really I feel like I've acomplished something after I hear this sound go ding. So sometimes I do care and then I don't.
i dont purchase games or get games because of the trophies but i do like getting trophies with the games i do buy. i have to say the sound when you get a trophy is awesome it just makes you want to get more trophies
My mouth seems to make quite an effort in a desperate attempt of smile when I hear *ding , but in the whole process the fun of geting the trophy has already ended and I'm just like this: :|
Yeah I would play game again for trophies, I love to replay games and trophies are a great incentives to replay a game

Ill admit I didnt really care when trophies were put into games. But after playing some games with them I really like them. They will never make me buy a game that I normally wouldnt, but its nice to have them on second playthroughs.
I loved Dead Space, but the trophies gave me that extra push to play though the game on the hardest difficulty. I think they add nice replay value and give some nice bragging rights for some of the more difficult ones.
I only care if I like the game a lot, and if it's easy, i.e. RE5, inFamous. I like Killzone 2, but the trophies are too hard for my taste. Still trying to get a Plat on inFamous.
No I never cared about achievements and I dont care about trophies now. It usually takes me at least a month to just beat a game I really dont need to extend the life of games because I dont play enough to have too.
yeah i think they're allright, just a list with all those tasks and no trophies to show for it would give any game alot more to shoot for. those trophies like Step Off The Boat which basically just asks you to get through the first cutscene in gta4 are lame though. heck you can skip the cutscene, a trophy like that with a lazy approach =/
If the trophies are reachable for me, then I will try. It gives me a challenge after completeing it. I think they are quite cool aswell, I mean that 'ting' is just great! :D
