Hi,
I've got a powerchimp portable charger that chargers the PSP (it charges mobiles and cameras too). Its really good if your no where near a power source. Otherwise i would suggest getting a psp car charger that plugs straight into the car lighter jack.
[QUOTE="optiow"]Charger, I have no need for an extension on the battery.dkdk999wow am i the only one who thinks battery life on psp sucks ? it seems ds lites battery life is much better i dont know the exact time though.
Lot's of people don't think the battery life sucks, because of the amount of things the batter has to operate. The disk drive, the memory, the online playing, the big screen, which is 2 1/2 times bigger then the DS screens. and it has electronically controlled sound. It has so many stuff that it has to run, and the people who don't think the battery life sucks, probably understands the fact that the battery runs many things. If you don't like the battery life, then I guess you can just plug it in and play without the battery atleast.
[QUOTE="Kill_My_Self"]1 question can u play while charging?4dry4n

I can deal with #1 and #3, but I always play with the screen at it's brightest. No matter though, since I have a 1000, and I feel that the battery is just fine on it.Here is some tips to extend your battery life:
Your PSP battery should last at least 6 hours doing this. 4dry4n
- Wear a headset
- reduce brightness to lowest possible
- turn WLAN off when not in use

I am with you, actually... I mean, on long trips, there is no way it'll last long enough.
1 question can u play while charging?Kill_My_SelfI don't think you can play online... or at least not on the 1000.
My PSP 1000 battery lasts around five hours. I was getting that amount with my Electric Blue DS, so I was very surprised it lasted that long. To get 5 hours per charge (This does not include online gameplay) I keep the WLAN switch off and play at the second brightness setting.
For travel, I always charge my battery fully before I leave and I have a PSP car charger that was $7 and it works really well. For long car trips, I would really suggest the car charger because if a trip takes a detour, longer than usual or routes or plans change, the charger is always there and can give me power when I need it. However, I am kinda picky about my handhelds having the option for power at all times. So it could just be me. :P
Also, to clear up any confusion, I play my PSP 1000 online frequently and you can play online while it is charging. However, when you connect to the internet to browse or play PSP games online, the charging light will not light up. I was worried when I saw the charging light wasn't lit, but the PSP 1000 does indeed charge while playing online.
The PSP battery is amazing considering all the componants it powers, but I can't help but be selfish and wish they could squeeze out just an hour more or two on full brightness :P
It's funny though, the handheld that I spend long periods of time on doesn't have as much battery life as I'd like it to, and the handheld that I don't play for long periods of time has more battery life than I find necessary:lol:
