Poll: When you play games with your girlfriend/wife do you let her win?

I'm too competitive and I hate losing so I never let her win. Then she says "every bf lets their gfs win" so is that true? I dont care who I'm playing against, I'm going to try and win at everything I do. I've grown up playing sports so I hate losing

Yes, I'd slower my pace to keep her interested. After she is getting better then change to faster pace and to spark her fighting spirit, I'd promise her that I will do household chore for a week if she can beat me.

If it's starting her out and trying to hook her in? Yes.

Would I tell her later I was holding back? Yes.

Would I be impressed if she suddenly became better at it and beat me without holding back? Hell yeah!

No because she is actually pretty good at games.

I find that girls tend to be much bettter at games than most guys think. I've had my ass handed to me by so many girls on PSN across various games that whenever I go to play a game with a girl I assume she knows what she is doing and don't hold back.

Case in point - One day when I was in high school, some dude brought his xbox 360 and COD MW2 with some extra controllers to class during a movie/pizza party day after exams. The controller eventually got handed to the pretty, athletic, preppy chick and people were like you go girl kick his ass. Needless to say she did. :|

But yeah more on topic with the actual question. No I don't hold back. I see no reason why not. I mean I won't be a douchebag about it and be like oh-ho-ho you suck but I see no reason to act like I can't play the game. I'm not a very chivalrous person.

I used to let her win sometimes, then crushing her afterwards lol. Letting her win was my way to try getting her to "indulge" in a bit more...? If she got good enough to beat me, would be my dream coming true.

Well that was back in PS2 days... Now i've got a kid and a ps3 lol... She barely looks at any games now -.-.

Not really. My EX used to kick my ass in Mario Kart and Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Basically she can beat me on majority of the games on the Wii whereas I can beat on majority of games on PS3.

Don't have a SO but I definitely would never let anyone win... They have to beat me fair and square.

sometimes like me and my last girlfriend were playing COD 4 1 on 1 and liek sometimes i would let her without her knowing just to keep her happy, then when she started to get betetr i wiped the floor with her :P (she told me to go all out so i did)
and with a girl who's a friend we were playing MVC 3 i went easy on her for the first couple of games (won 1 lost 1) then we played like 20 games by the end she was beating me often, so the next day when we played i fgot a little practice to find a character i preferred and used that character to beat her so many times :P

No. Because I know she don't want to really play video games for long anyway. And letting her win will not changegetting sex from her. That will happen anyway.

Unfortunately gaming with my wife consists of handing her the controller for about 2 minutes, then she laughs at how terrible she is and hands it back. I'd be more than happy to spend time teaching her how to play, but it's just not something she enjoys, so that's fine with me.

I usually play hard for a bit then lighten up on my gf. She gets pissed if I get too aggressive. Although when playing puzzle type games she is really a better player in many cases, but I still make it as hard for her as possible.
