I am. I dont want all those little kids and the immatures to be online. Its kind of bad now but with the xbox kids its gonna be worse. Wish they had age restriction rooms. Also im worried i wont be able to find a ps4 this christmas.

Why are you so worried about little kids? Personally, I think most people in the world are mean, and all we get done doing most of the time is fighting or talking about someone behind their back. I'd be more concerned about the angry adults than the kids.

Success is a good thing, no question about that. I want the PS4 to do well, and I don't care who else buys one as long as people buy one.

Sure, there could be a shortage of PS4 consoles. It happened with the PS2, it happened with the Wii. If the PS4 is doing this well at launch time, there could very well be a PS4 shortage. But if you really want one at launch, you should pre-order it, and then you might have a much better chance of actually getting one.

No offense, OP, but that's just silly. You're literally wishing to deprive others of enjoyment and Sony of profit to spare yourself an occasional nuisance. I don't want to listen to a bunch of kids' bs either, but I've heard them on PS3 and I've heard them 360, and I've been able to effectively mute them in either case.

I hated my 360 cause most of my games was racist, bullying, name calling, and dumb ppl who only know some select words. I have little kids in my house who can hear this and wish to not have em exposed to it. Some games you just couldn't mute. some on ps3 but not as much. I always thought wii was for young and casual gamers, 360 is for the tweens and teens, and ps3 for teens and adults. I don't want to deprive anyone of fun but don't want them to deprive me of the fun.

LOL funny your back. I agree with the mic thing. Games like COD that is so popluar has nothing but the most disrespectful ppl so I stopped playing that. Mic is important in that game if you wanna do strategy. You can mute em, but when you get to lobby its hard to mute again before the foul language happens. Madden football I couldn't mute a bullying racist homophobic guy. Its hard to explain to a four year old that the world has such hateful pp Don't want them to act like that when they get older . Real or online. I don't know maybe there will be a mute button for ps4. I don't mind the dumb mail I get of hate and I suck. (saying that nicely) Cuz only I see that, and I can block em or not read em.

About CoD, that is just generalization. There are plenty of good, normal, accepting people that play CoD regularly. Same with any genre of anything.. Has some shitty fans, has some great fans. That is a bummer about Madden though, I haven't played those games, but not having the ability to mute other players online seems like a massive design flaw.

So you are saying we should go to store and not allow people that don't look like hardcore gamers to buy a new console? Age-restricted lobbies is just not a feasable possibility. You have to fax in a copy of your DL? Insane way to handle it that would never work. You need a CC validation? Insanely easy to bypass.

You get banned for bullying and stuff like that now. There is a report system. How is it easy to bypass just needing to produce a credit/debit card number? Well, for plenty of reasons that we're fairly obvious to me and seemingly everyone around me when I was young.. But the easiest most sinister way I can think of is using the twitter account that just retweets dumb ass people that post pictures of their credit/debit cards.

I understand what you mean, but it's just a bad idea. You usually don't need the security code for verification on sites, and even to purchase on some big websites.. But yeah, pedophiles would join rooms designated for children only.

Anyways I didn't mean to make the thread to be about just my worries. Just a topic on anything you worry about with the ps4. Like the controller design, or maybe how its not like a huge leap to ps4 like ps2 to ps3 was.

True. Didn't think about that. Anyways it was just an idea that came to me as I was typing. I just remembered that chat rooms had designated age rooms, but never thought of the pedos, and the downsides like that.
