Anyone wonder why the color this month is pink during the day? Seems just random doesnt it, but I think there may be a reason behind it... Just a few moments ago I was talking with my japanese co-workers and we were talking about future updates to the PS3 and one just mentioned off hand that she loved how the color background this month was set to pink to reflect the beginning of the summer equinox and the blossoming of the cherry blossoms, and everyone agreed including me and then it hit me. I have reason to believe that the color is reflective of the japanese holiday and event cycles. This is just conjecture at the moment, but if at the end of this month, the background turns gold or yellowish, to reflect japans biggest holiday: Golden Week, I think this may be the reason for the strange color selection, any thoughts?

from what i've seen, it either changes every month or every season, during februrary mine was yellow...and during march mine was pink...so now its april and its green for me...
I cant tell, I play my PS3 on a 19 Inch RCA I got back in '99 for my PS2 (no inputs, so enter crappy RF modulator....). My is just balck in the back :D

thats wat i always thought! the only time i have my hands free to play with my ps3 is at night, when i return home from school and work, and my ps3 backround is always black. im missing out on all the colors :|
you know if you want to see all the colors just go to the Date and Time settings, put the time at 11:AM(because the color gets darker as the day goes by, i find it to be at its brightest at this time) and just scroll thru the months.
